I have been to this restaurant when it had just opened 6 to 7 years back even before their sister concern, Garam Masala has opened. The restaurant ambience has always been nice especially during dinner than lunch, their waiting staff are socially polite but not competent for their role as waiters given the price on the menu, the menu is a mix of Chinese and Thai cuisine but the sad part of m is a typical customer in Kerala would not understand what the names on the menu meant i.e. what they should expect to land on the table as their dish. Now the reason I say this is bcos. What Chicken is known in China, Japan or for that matter Thailand is irrelevant to the Indian customer or what are the herbs, sauces etc. named as in India the Indo Chinese palate is far popular than the Chinese or Thai. Hence if Chopstix is determined to use the names from a foreign land great but they need to have a decent decription of the dish for the local community to avoid wrong order, mis communication of the order/dish which I am sure happens commonly. Today I visited them after a very long gap and to my surprise yet again some more fancy names and our order taker was none other than the owner's friend who has been with them since the inception as I remember him. On enquiring some of the changes on the menu he patiently tried to explain some description of the dish but given that on my last couple of visits to them had not been great for the same reasons of my understanding of what I had ordered and what eventually arrived was different, he wanted to ensure that I am happy I guess. But he had to to disappointed again because the dish he mentioned and I confirmed was one disastrous dish that had the chicken served partially cooked and his explanation to that was Thai dishes are generally cooked like this. I requested him to either cancel or recook the chicken which he did and we were surprised to see the same dish without any visible change whatsoever. The so called individual who I earlier mentioned as the owner's rep stood where he always stands behind the cash counter without moving to check if what he had got done was to our satisfaction. Which I doubt was because he believed that no other customer "his hi fi customers who visit have given him that feedback and he thinks I was the only one to do so". If that was right that is quite ok because I am not too sure if these hifi customers knew what they ordered and had or they don't mind eating partially cooked chicken. Overall his behaviour being rather unprofessional and the quality of the dish was below average yet again. People are different and so are their palates. If he knew I was fussy a good restauranteur would be additionally vigilant and careful when suggesting a dish from the menu. Far eastern cuisines have different cuts of meat and poultry hence they taste different and so do the sauces that the dishes are prepared with. So the best person to know this is the order taker. Either they should explain the dish if it is not described or should have tasted it to be able to give the customer a honest view of the dish. My guess neither of this was done in this case. So my humble opinion to all who visit Chopstix(especially the NOT so Hifi ones) be sure to check more than once on your order as I sincerely hope you don't have to leave the restaurant feeling cheated. The dishes were lying on the table and the spineless chap had no other way than the refrigerator to put his face to while we were leaving as he knew well enough what he would have heard if he asked any opinions. I felt sorry for him as he was not able to do justice with us because of his belief that the dish was made at its best. The customer can have their opinion and feedback but the chefs/ cooks are right in doing what they did...

Chopstix in Ernakulam is a Chinese food haven worth exploring. During our recent visit, the positives certainly outweighed any minor inconveniences.
The first floor location might lack wheelchair accessibility, and seating availability could be tight due to its popularity, but once you're in, the cozy atmosphere sets the stage for a delightful dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food – the America Chopsuey was a standout, hands down the best we've ever had. The chicken side dish was a tasty complement, and the portions were surprisingly generous, easily filling two hungry stomachs.
The diverse menu offered a variety of good options, making it a perfect spot for Chinese cuisine enthusiasts. The prices were reasonable, making Chopstix a budget-friendly choice for quality food.
While the chicken momos were a bit on the dry side, it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable meal.
In conclusion, if you're in Ernakulam and craving Chinese food, Chopstix is a must-try. The positives – delicious dishes, cozy ambiance, and budget-friendly prices – make it a standout choice in the...
Read moreChopstix is one of those brands you can trust for consistently great food, and this new outlet in Palarivattom maintains that standard well. We’ve tried their Thrippunithura and Panampilly Nagar locations earlier, and the flavour quality remains top-notch here too.
We ordered Honey Glazed Chicken, Wonton Cheese Momos, Yellow Chicken Curry, and Thai Fried Rice—every dish was absolutely spot on. The taste was excellent, just as expected from the Chopstix brand.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks at this location. Due to ongoing roadwork, finding parking is a real challenge. Also, the interiors feel too old and badly need a facelift, especially compared to their other branches. And shockingly—no washroom inside the premises, which can be a deal-breaker for many diners.
If you’re going purely for the flavour and quality, this outlet won’t disappoint. But for comfort and convenience, they’ve got some...
