House of Commons - Toast Cafe — Restaurant in Kerala

The ambience of the cafe was formidable although there were a few things that didn't go well with me. For the price that they put on the food, the food wasn't up to mark. We ordered strawberry toast, banana pancakes, Caesar salad, Alfredo fettuccine pasta, a pineapple juice and cold coffee. The strawberry toast and banana pancakes were well made, although the cream of the strawberry toast was a bit watery. The chicken in the pasta and the Caesar salad was extremely dry. The pineapple juice and cold coffee were average. The service was disappointing and exhaustingly slow. We had to send back the cream as there was an eyelash on it (the waiter's). The cutlery was not well washed and had stains on it, which I had replaced, and yet the second one they gave smelled weirdly of chocolate and was oily. The table was not well kept either. Overall, extremely disappointed with the service especially since I had travelled hungry to the place hearing its good reviews. I would suggest people to visit only if they are not short of time, and if they need a good ambience to sit and talk, and not really...

This place was such a joy to find. I will say from the start, if you’re in a rush you should probably eat somewhere else so you don’t get grumpy. The food definitely takes some time to be made as everything is made fresh to order and obviously with a lot of love.

I ordered the tender coconut pancakes which were absolutely phenomenal, so delicious! My guy ordered nutella french toast (so good) and the chicken bacon sandwich. When passing through panavila saw HOC and went in for a snack when entered the ambiance and the welcoming was good and in their menu card they have explained why they have given the name as house of commons. Ordered hummus avocado wrap which was sooooo good avocado was super creamy and fresh and the hummus was the base of the wrap and it was so 👌 and also their sulaimani was a super combo with this wrap overall had a very good experience 😋 and also they had different varieties of pastas and toasts highly recommended for a cafe experience surely will...
