Plated Trivandrum is the place to be for those seeking a delightful culinary adventure! This gem offers an array of flavors when it comes to their Alfahams, and their Shawarma is simply the best in town. Their fried chicken and french fries are mouthwateringly good, and their drinks add the perfect touch to make your dining experience wonderful, especially in their newly shifted restaurant near the old space.
While their waiters are friendly, there's room for improvement in understanding certain requests. Perhaps having a dedicated captain on board could help sort out any service-based issues more efficiently.
Now, let's talk about the barbecue Alfaham we had yesterday. Unfortunately, it wasn't their finest hour as the sauce they smeared all over the chicken was of subpar quality, making it quite challenging for us to enjoy the dish. However, their Shawarma platter and french fries were simply outstanding, and their accompaniments were top-notch too!
We're definitely planning to give their chicken platter a try next time, as it seems to be a generous portion that would require at least three people to finish it off. The burgers, loaded fries, and all the other items served on the neighboring tables looked absolutely amazing, and we hope they tasted as good as they looked.
Overall, Plated Trivandrum is a fantastic spot for food lovers, offering a wide range of delectable options. With a few tweaks here and there, they could take their dining experience to even greater heights!
During my visit today (02, may 2024, I was disappointed with the Kanthari Alfaham, which was overcooked and burnt to the point where I couldn't taste any flavor. Despite my hunger, I struggled to finish it and had to wash it down with a Coke. Additionally, the Shavarma I ordered had one side that was burnt, suggesting that the tava needs maintenance, descaling, or degreasing. On the positive side, the service was prompt and efficient, and the soft drinks were chilled...
Read moreA friend of mine recommended this place and asked me to try it out and review it on our group. I visited the place, I waited outside to see if anyone would attend to me, no one did. I asked them for a menu, someone handed it to me. After looking through it for 3 minutes max (had to check with my family, who were inside the car on the road), I went back and gave them the order. And they tell me the kitchen is closed. I was in pure shock. And no, they really weren’t apologetic. The funny thing is it wasn’t past the time they close their place. Maybe their food might be good, but they truly could have handled the situation better by informing me upfront or at least a simple apology.
Edit/Response - I never mentioned that it was today. It was a few days ago. (A guy, wearing white shirt, must be manager or owner or something cause he didn’t look like a staff, was the one who informed me that the kitchen was closed while I tried to order. He himself did notice that no one else even bothered to check on me prior to him talking to me. He told me they ran out of Al Faham, that’s when I asked him about fries. He went in, came out telling me the kitchen is closed. All this after I was handed the menu, checked it out with my family by the side of the road and then walk back to the restaurant. { If you are still confused and shocked, I can get you the exact date. }
As I mentioned, my problem isn’t the fact that I didn’t get to order food from you, my problem is how you handle the whole situation. Either tell me upfront that the kitchen is closed/will close in a minute or two or actually apologise when something like this happens. Irregardless of how hard they work, it truly isn’t impossible to just say...

The Mint lime drink was a refreshing twist on the classic lime drink. The addition of mint added a unique flavor that complemented the lime perfectly.
