Got a chance to visit the famous Kaasa Kitchen at Kochi! I chose to have the trending Chatti Chor (5/5), Uruli Chor (3.5/5) and tried their special Mohabath Ka Sarbath (1/5). The staffs were friendly and professional enough to handle the customers. We visited the spot at the time of opening, which was actually a bit delayed (opened by 12:45 PM), as time passes the seats gets filled accordingly.

The Chatti Chor was the one which impressed me a lot. The Rajavinte Chatti Chor comprised of the famous and traditional curries of Kerala which included pachadi, thoran, kakka, fish fry, fish curry, omelette, beef, pickle, chutney etc. and the soft and perfectly cooked chamba rice. After mixing up everything in the chatti and as soon as I put the food in the mouth I recalled the taste of homemade meals which I get at my home. The taste and the flavours where stunning the real authentic taste of the homemade meals was completely served in the chatti. It was superb!!!

I felt like the Uruli Chor was actually a bit overhyped. It comprised of the malabar neychor and various dishes which included beef roast, chutney, pickle, chicken etc! They failed to provide us the remaining 3-4 dishes which was to be served with the Rajavinte Uruli due to some delay in preparation. They made us wait for a long time which made us to wait in front of food without eating the dish since it was incomplete and then unfortunately we were forced to eat the incomplete dish. The staffs please make sure you serve the complete dish on time.

To be frank the I had the real signature Mohabath Ka Sarbath from Delhi street and the one which I got from Kaasa was totally different from the real Mohabath Ka Sarbath. The quantity was above average and frankly I felt like it was over priced (~₹100). Unfortunately, the amount of syrup added in the sarbath was extremely high due to which we couldn’t even finish the drink. We informed the staffs about this and they told that its the usual Mohabath Ka Sarbath which they serve, which was not appreciable. The drink tasted like a concentrated Rooh Afza syrup. Make sure you people try one before order multiple drinks.

Sufficient parking space which is available in the streets, nice interior ambience, well organised tables and good hospitality made the...

I have had the most PATHETIC dining-out experience in my living memory when I visited this place on 14 Jul 2025.

I visited the restaurant with my family of 5 members including my 84 year old grandfather for lunch. I was told that tables are ready and we proceeded upstairs with genuine anticipation of a good meal.

However to my horror, there were 4 tables lying vacant with LEFT-OVER DISHES and droolings of the earlier customers. Dutifully I approached the staff several times with the request to clear the table so that my grandfather could at the very least, sit down.

After waiting for the better part of an hour, I realized that the place was critically understaffed and every time I approached the 'manager' with request to clean up the table, he would act as if he was hearing such a request for the first time and would animate himself to task just to keep me quiet for some more time.

The game went on till finally after an hour and 15 mins, the staff finally came to clear up and they removed only the used plates leaving the stains and drool on the table intact. The Staff had an unashamed reply to my query which was "Thats not my job, I only clear the plates"

At this point I have to ask my fellow citizens.

Where are we heading as a consumer? Where are we heading as a prudent malayli who does not put up with such whimsical nonsense for which we pay?

This was an eye opening experience for me as it showed me that a spurt of inital fame allows predatory practices and unscrupulous attitude by restaurant owners.

The expression on the manager seemed to shout on my face "If you don't like it: don't bother coming, we have enough paying customers who put up with far worse".

Indeed the only time his smug expression waned was when I started clicking photographs for writing this review.

STAY SAFE AND VALUE YOUR MONEY! AVOID THIS PLACE...

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Unhygienic and Rude Service !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ⭐☆☆☆☆

I visited this restaurant on Christmas evening, December 2024, around 4:00 PM with my friends and a child. Sadly, our experience was extremely disappointing.

Dishonest Billing: We ordered a dish priced at ₹185 from the menu. However, when the bill arrived, they charged ₹250 + GST, claiming they served us the "premium" version of the dish — something we never requested. This felt like a clear case of misleading billing.

Water Service Issues: During our meal, we requested water. They insisted on us purchasing bottled water, which we declined. Instead, we asked for regular water, and they brought some from an unhygienic washing area. When we asked for hygienic drinking water, they refused and started making jokes, mocking us. This behavior made everyone, especially the women and the child in our group, feel uncomfortable and insulted. Ultimately, we had no option but to purchase bottled water. Ironically, after we finished our meal, they brought regular water in what seemed like a bluff.

Rude and Unprofessional Staff: The staff's attitude was incredibly disrespectful throughout our visit. They showed no regard for basic hospitality and seemed more interested in mocking customers than providing quality service.

Unhygienic Environment: The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was far below acceptable standards, which added to the unpleasant experience.

We chose this restaurant based on its positive social media reviews, but the reality was completely the opposite. I strongly advise others to avoid this place if they value respectful service, hygiene, and honest...

We went during Good Friday and most of the restaurants are closed and it’s very hard to find a good one in fort kochi. Literally I was searching in map on the fort kochi beach let’s have dinner. But then I searched many many and atlast I liked this name and the ambience from the google photos. Then I decided to visit this spot and my brother was asking only by seeing the pictures don’t decide. I said nope we are going there. After reach. We found restaurant is full. And we do have no other go we should wait there. Meanwhile we ordered food. Actually I am eggterian I didn’t go to place to order their foods. I have ordered ghee rice. But then I got to know that parotta and veg curry Will be good. Then I ordered parotta. Few mins later we are called inside and we are waiting inside the room where three tables are there and stil people are having their dinner. I have a seen a pot in black colour and that dish looks yummy. I really wanted to taste it. I again asked for that one they said it’s only available in non veg. So I just left off. We went upstairs that’s a good ambience again with wooden hard benches. Suddenly they kept that wooden black pot. I was wondering vow. Then the guy came with 5 thooku posiii telling its called thooku parotta. He just put in all of the pots and went on. But I can’t able to smell and feel the taste when al said it’s delicious. One person can’t eat fully. This is their signature dish. After coming out only I came to know most of the scene actors/actress used to visit here . It’s costly but must try one.
