A well deserved 5 star rating after 5 visits in the past 4 years. Great pizza, in a cosy ambience at an affordable price. Cost for 2 Rs.800 Ambience - This place has a character to it. Housed in a heritage building this garden cafe has a quiet vibe about it that I find very appealing. This place has always played good music, mostly classic Western music, and on one occasion there was a small band performing which was also suited my taste. The café space is under a thatched roof with enough fans to keep you cool and the trees around this place definitely beings down the ambient temperatures by a notch or two. In the evenings there are a few mosquitoes, but the management tries their best to keep them away, I would suggest to keep a mosquito repellent handy just in case. I've seen a few rabbits running around in the garden, so definitely a place to take your kids! The place is also an art gallery and you can usually find a collection of artwork on display. Food - They have had different menus on my earlier visits, however currently they have a pizza menu. I've had pizzas on my three recent visit and they have always been great. You have a variety of toppings to choose from and they are happy to make a pizza with each half having a different pizza. The pizzas are hand made life ina brick oven. I've tried their earth pizza and chicken Pizza and they were good on all occasions. Drink - They have a simple fresh juice menu. I've always ordered the mint lime soda which is my favourite. P.S - They have a nice long table with plug points in case you're looking for a place to work from. Overall a great place to be.

I really liked the pandhal takeover of the artistic historic hall of fort kochi. Now we get better than the best, food delicacies delivered in ambiences rendered by the trees, garden and the ever changing art displays. So you have a beautiful hall full of art work displays, that are displayed and some, available for purchase. Art exhibitions and trends get created here. Me and my bunch were hungry as we arrived here. We came hungry and left fully satisfied. The beef ribs were a rib version of erachi roast but with intense ribs involved. The Korean pork rice bowl was not bad. The chicken pizza was exceptional. I am sure, you can't resist this pizza once you have tried it. The seasonal coolers; some good(the one with strawberry and berries). Some, not so worthy(something that was spicy). The coffee was a treat. The chicken tacos were yummy and smooth. Mashed potatoes served with the ribs were one of the best that i have had recently. The Kachapuri(Inspired from turkey) dish made with chicken was a good snack. And as you may already know, pandhal has already marked themselves as a standard dessert place in kochi. So even if i didn't mention it, the Chocolate truffle cake was amazing, as it is, always. For a die hard art lover, the art displays and the god's own inspiration lead paintings, along with the well made food items amidst beautiful serene ambiences, has done it for me. It's not always, an art lover gets everything that they could ever ask for, in one place. Here you have David Hall.

Pandal, a hidden gem that seamlessly marries the world of art and gastronomy, leaves an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to step within its confines. Walking into Pandal, one is immediately greeted by a symphony of visual delights. The art gallery boasts an impressive collection that traverses the realms of creativity, showcasing the diverse talents of both emerging and established artists. The curation is a testament to the gallery's dedication to aesthetics and artistic expression. What sets Pandal apart is its unique blend of artistic wonder and culinary indulgence. The inclusion of a pizzeria within its walls elevates the experience to unprecedented heights. The aroma of freshly baked pizza mingles harmoniously with the visual feast of artworks, creating an ambiance that tantalizes both the eyes and the taste buds. The pizzeria itself is a haven for pizza enthusiasts. The menu, though concise, is thoughtfully crafted to cater to a range of preferences. From classic margheritas to inventive gourmet creations, each slice is a canvas of flavors, mirroring the artistic ethos of the gallery. The combination of delectable pizzas and the sensory immersion of art makes Pandal a haven for the connoisseurs of both. The harmony between the art gallery and the pizzeria is a rare and delightful synergy. As you appreciate the intricacies of a painting, you can also savor the symphony of flavors in each bite. The juxtaposition of these two worlds is a testament to the boundless possibilities of creativity. In conclusion, Pandal offers a unique and captivating experience where art and gastronomy intertwine. The impressive artworks in the gallery, combined with the pizzeria's culinary prowess, create an ambiance that celebrates the senses in every dimension. If you're seeking an escape that indulges your artistic and culinary desires simultaneously, Pandal is a must-visit destination that promises an unforgettable journey.

The restaurant is only meant for Western people and they don't expect the customers to share their food. I had a very bad experience. Me and my wife visited the David Hall Cafe Deli Pandhal cafe in Fortkochi. We are generally less eaters and cannot eat a huge quantity of food. We ordered a meal dish named Hoiseen Chicken with short grain fried rice. The whole meal came in a single plate and the plate was full and heavy. Generally if we order a Biriyani, the biriyani will come in a portion plate and we will have another plate to serve the needed quantity and we never eat the huge heap of biriyani on the same plate which will look so awkward. So I called the staff and asked for a separate plate and all that they give was a 4 inch tiny saucer kind of side plate. It was a real tough time to move the meal portion into a small tiny saucer side plate. I asked couple of staff to get me a normal plate and they told that that restaurant is mainly for pizza and they have only tiny side plates to eat and they also told that new normal size plates are getting purchased soon. What you have to note is, there will be different kinds of people who love to eat food comfortably and today even after paying a premium bill I got a tiny little saucer to have the meal. On the other side I cannot imagine to have the Hoiseen Chicken meal in a plate wich literally looked like a plate that is used for canine. I felt really bad and I want the management to take an action. Please understand that there are some who love to share food and you need to make sure that they eat the food comfortably.. Well kudos to the chef..the dish was awesome..but this feeling i will never forget and I will surely have my rating based on this and convey the same when people reach out to me for restaurant reference. In short Cafe Deli Pandhal David cafe is not meant for people who love to share food..next time when you go there try to carry your own plate...

I’ve been visiting Pandhal Café for over 10 years, and for the last 3 years it has been a regular spot for me, almost every day or at least every week. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, both food and drinks, and I’ve always brought my friends and family along because I truly believed in the place. But sadly, things have started to change and not for the better. These days, there’s no consistency in the food. The chefs seem to be changing frequently, and many of my favorite items are either unavailable or no longer being served. The same goes for the drinks. It’s disappointing when a place you’ve trusted for so long no longer feels reliable or satisfying. Last night, I spent some time at the café like I always do, but for the first time, I was genuinely uncomfortable. There were a lot of bugs, and they were bothering me to the point that I couldn’t relax. That’s not the kind of experience anyone would want, especially not someone who has supported this café for years. There have even been times I’ve spent close to ₹1 lakh in a single month here because I believed in the comfort and quality the café once offered. One thing I still truly appreciate is the staff. They’ve always been wonderful, friendly, warm, and like family to me. But despite their excellent service, the overall café experience has become disappointing. I’m writing this not to criticize but to encourage change. What’s the way forward? How can I bring my friends and family again with confidence? How can I come here, order my favorite food, and feel satisfied? How can I sit peacefully with my book, the way I used to? With all due respect, I believe Pandhal Café still has the heart to make a comeback. There’s potential to upgrade, improve, and grow. You have a loyal customer base that wants to continue supporting you. I truly hope this review helps inspire a positive change. Thank you.

Aesthetic Oasis with Unique Delicacies Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent visit to Pandhal in Fort Kochi was an absolute delight! This cafe is a hidden gem that combines stunning aesthetics with delectable treats, making it a perfect place to work from or simply savor some unique flavors. The first thing that struck me was the cafe's ambiance. It's a haven for anyone seeking a beautiful and serene workspace. The cozy yet vibrant decor, combined with ample natural light, creates an ideal environment to get work done or simply unwind. But what truly sets Pandhal apart is its exceptional menu. The delicacies and bakes offered here are unlike anything I've tasted elsewhere. Each dish seems to have a touch of creativity and uniqueness that makes it memorable. And let's not forget the legendary Mattancherry spice cake, a Christmas exclusive that's only available through pre-booking. It's a must-try, and I can't wait to return during the holiday season to indulge in this special treat. The staff at Pandhal are also friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Whether you're a local looking for a cozy hangout or a traveler exploring Fort Kochi, this cafe is a must-visit. In summary, Pandhal is a true aesthetic oasis with a menu that's sure to tantalize your taste buds. Don't miss the chance to experience this unique cafe when you're in Fort Kochi. It's a culinary and visual treat that you won't soon forget!
