💰✅🤳✅💳✅♿❌❄️❌🐶❌🚗✅🏍️✅ I recently had lunch at the Nellikka Restaurant's Kadavanthara location.Without a doubt, this is the best Kanji spot (porridge) in Kochi . I tried the chemmeen chamathi, Kanji, and Kappa-mullake chammanthi there. All three were quite tasty and had a comforting supper flavor. Additionally, there are a variety of fried fish dishes, kanjis, combos, etc. The atmosphere is excellent, and customers are quite happy with the service. The boy that serves the food there is really good at handling the patrons. The food is presented beautifully, and it is served organically on mud dishes and pots.
There are no restrooms; hand washing is next to the entrance. The only recommendation I have is to provide a parking facility; other than that, everything is very well. There is free parking for two-wheelers on the entrance side, but no space for cars, as far as I can tell.
Please refer to the review's images for information on the menu and pricing. All there menu items are available both in Swiggy and Zomato. I think the prices are little high in the food delivery apps, I prefer for dine-in in Nellikka itself.

Read moreIf you're looking for a soulful, comforting meal that reminds you of home-cooked Kerala food, Nellikka Restaurant in Kadavanthra is a must-visit. Specializing in traditional Kerala dishes with a special emphasis on different varieties of Kanji (rice porridge), this place is a hidden gem for foodies who enjoy nostalgic flavors.
The menu is simple yet packed with authenticity. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything felt like a warm hug to the soul. The Kanji options are impressive—served with an array of sides like chammanthi, payar, and pickle, each bowl is a celebration of humble, rustic flavors. The Kappa (tapioca) was well-cooked, soft yet firm, and paired beautifully with the spicy accompaniments.
What truly stood out was their Kakka Fry . The Kakka was fresh, spicy, and seasoned to perfection—ideal for those who enjoy bold coastal flavors.
The ambience is clean and no-frills, with the focus rightly placed on the food. The staff is courteous and helpful, always ready with suggestions if you're unsure what to try.

Read moreOooooo....... The one thing that pleased me in the beginning was their traditional setup of serving the food in those earthern pots that itself is so pleasing and cool.
And then the next is the atmosphere. They have done some great hardwork to putup something like that. It is so relaxing there.
Then comes the food. If they have done this much then won't they do it on the food . Yep ,,,,,,,,, the food they give says their dedication in it. U will get many varieties of the standard kelara rice pudding (kanji) all at reasonable prices only. They are served hot and boiling 🤤😌. Along with normal curries u can order fish fries too.
To ensure the trustness in the making they have displayed the cctv video in the dining hall itself which shows all places of the shop including the kitchen where the magic happens. Cash payment and UPI payments are accepted here. Zomato and swiggy orders can also be placed here.....
Nice stff and services.
Only one thing I was unhappy about was that once they have fish fry that was cold and all socked in oil....that might be because it was already 3 pm and tht doesn't count with the normal meal time. But whatever rest I like all and I'll be visiting again...
