I recently had the pleasure of visiting O Porto bar in Fort Kochi, and I must say that it's a fantastic spot to unwind and enjoy some great food and drinks. The moment you step inside, you're transported to a bygone era, thanks to the bar's vintage ambience. The decor, complete with antique furniture and rustic accents, is absolutely charming and adds to the bar's unique character.

The food at O Porto bar is exceptional, particularly the pork dishes, which are cooked to perfection. The menu is designed to complement the bar's selection of liquor and beer, which are served with a variety of spicy and savory accompaniments. While the bar doesn't offer any cocktail options, the liquor and beer selection is impressive, and the staff is happy to help you choose the perfect pairing for your meal.

I'm not a big drinker, just a social one, so I would say this bar's main positive is that it does, at least, sell beer!

It looks like I visited a very different place to the other reviewers but in fairness to O Porto, I found it very hard to find many places in Fort Kochi that I would consider a nice place with a good atmosphere (comfy seating, bit of a 'buzz', some music - live music even?) for a British guy on holiday here. Alcohol licences are expensive and hard to get here, apparently, so most restaurants don't sell alcohol. I'm not looking for a place to get drunk but socialising tends to be around places that serve alcohol to many Brits, unless I'm mistaken.

I went to O Porto in the evening in December 2024 and was directed upstairs where I personally found it quite dark and dingy. The food was acceptable - no better or worse than I've had elsewhere locally and I wouldn't say it had a particularly good buzz or vibe about it, but then I'm probably comparing it other tourist resorts around the world, but not comparing it with somewhere like a...

Definitely a 4 star. Comparatively very low price for almost all brands or liquor and beer. The food taste so good. If you have ever been to seagull or other bar in fortkochi you would know the price of beer there. But here is low comparatively. And it's air conditioned and inside there is smoking room which is really appreciated by the customers. Cuz most of the bar doesn't have that option and we have to go outside for smoking. It is. A female friendly bar and the service is good. However I felt one thing about the bathroom ther is only one. We have to wait if it's occupied. And they lost 1 star for this cuz toilet is very important as they have female customers also coming. But apart from that.
