I'm writing this review as a warning to others: do not eat at [Lucky Star]! My friends and I visited this restaurant last weekend and had a terrible experience. The food tasted old food, but the real horror came later. Within hours, all of us were experiencing severe food poisoning symptoms - vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and fever.
The restaurant's food handling and safety practices are clearly negligent, and it's unacceptable that they're putting customers' health at risk. When we tried to contact the restaurant to report the incident, they were unresponsive and unapologetic.
The symptoms lasted for days, and we're still recovering. We're extremely disappointed and frustrated with the restaurant's lack of accountability. Save yourself the misery and avoid this place at all costs!
Please note that this is just an example, and I hope you're okay if you actually experienced food poisoning! If you need help writing a review or have any other questions, feel...
Read moreI don't know what happened, but after the Covid-19 lockdown the quality and quantity of their food has decreased drastically.
I ordered Beef fry and half the pieces werent eatable. It was like gum. And the rest was hard as rock. I always ordered from Lucky Star since I live close-by, and the food is always delicious, but not this time.
The quantity was less as compared from before the lockdown, and they charged ₹90 for a plate of beef. Paying ₹90 wasn't the issue, but having a bad dinner is something else.
As I mentioned above, I don't know if it's because of Covid-19. Maybe their real cooks aren't there.
I will ofcourse give Lucky Star another chance in the next few days. I hope they go through my review and take it seriously. Because next time, I'm not going...
Read moreI'm not really sure why this place has the a decent rating and some good reviews. I'm guessing (or rather hoping) that it's because at one time this used to be a good restaurant. It certainly wasn't when we went there. We were suggested this place by an auto driver since we wanted to eat Kerala meals and seafood. The meals were below average, the sambhar was more like a dal, and the fish fry was clearly old fish fry refried and served. The fish meat was hard and rubbery, and whatever spices were used, the taste was long gone due to the multiple rounds of frying. The hygiene standards weren't great either. And the whole meal wasn't worth the money...
