Elim Homestay Fort Kochi — Hotel in Kerala

I was at Elim Homestay from Oct 9, 2023 until Dec 1, 2023 and finally took the time to write a well-deserved review. George and his wife were so kind and welcoming to me. I was traveling as a solo female in India for several months and this adorable place became my sense of "home". I felt very safe at Elim Homestay and honestly could tell that George and his wife truly care about their guests. I had lively conversations with George ( whose English was spot on!) And he taught me many things about the culture of India. He taught me how to handle the "pushiness" of TukTuk drivers and let me know everything I needed to know in order to keep myself safe while there. One of their daughters got married while I was there and I was even invited to attend the wedding! Another daughter was home on Holiday from college in Georgia when I first arrived and I absolutely adored her energy. Her Amma certainly missed her when she returned to school and allowed me to hold space for her while she let herself feel some feelings. I definitely felt like I was family with them. That's just the hospitality I received, what makes it even better was the quality of the room itself. It was so spacious and had plenty of storage. It was honestly like a small apartment rather than a room. I had cold a/c and excellent wifi! The refrigerator was really big and worked wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and cleaning services were available as needed ( with completely new bedding every 3 days!). OH, and the bathroom was huge with toilet and shower both working great! Everything you could need is within walking distance, including the ocean! There was always a celebration going on in the streets and the balconies on each floor provides a great place to sit and watch it from a birds eye view. I will definitely stay there again when I return to India in the future. I truly miss my little life and neighborhood in Ft. Kochi.. I will treasure my memories always and I'm so grateful for the safe and lovely home I found in Elim Homestay. ❤️ TALINA DAVISENN ( UNITED...

Ok, where do I start off? |Arrival: George welcomed us to their homestay and took the time to answer all questions we had and more. He is a very friendly, honest and patient man with a "Can Do" attitude. |After speaking to him, we knew: were, what, when, how and how much. ||The Room: Very clean room with AC and Ceiling fan, good shower and plenty of warm water. There also seemed to be a little kitchen we didn't use which might be handy for some guests.||Hospitality: George & Daisy are some of the nicest people you will meet on this planet. Very caring & honest.|I was sick for some of my stay and Daisy nursed me back to health with some homemade remedies. George had some tips on medicine and within 2 days I was back to feeling ay okey!||They saved our trip to Kerala.|Thank you so much. |I can recommend Elim Homestay to anyone visiting Kochi. |5 stars...

The host was wonderful just wonderful. Treated us with such kindness like we really were guests in his house. My GF Anna felt quite ill and Mr George was kind enough to go and get medicines and hot water bags at a moment's notice late at night when we could not find any pharmacy open. His lovely wife also cooked us an incredibly tasty and nice home meal the next day, so that we get a healthy recovery. Mr George didn't want us to pay for the meal or the medicine for Anna because he said "she's like my daughter". The place is also nicely located, clean and has simple airy room.
