Upscale venue and service for reasonable prices. This restaurant is part of the Anankar hotel with some comfortable seats and dimmed lighting. We got here for dinner and the waiter gave us some in depth recommendations for traditional Keralan food based on our preferences. He also showed us pictures of the dishes to help us decide. Ultimately we went with his recommendations (the Angamaly fish curry and Masala fish with some rice). The Angamaly had a coconut and mango taste and the Masala fish was rich with flavour. This is a truly amazing authentic restaurant which serves authentic Kerala food at affordable prices and serves both tourists and locals. The manager goes out of his way to help you understand the menu and can adapt dishes to your taste. He is a foodie himself and he is constantly improving the food. He and his chef buy all the seafood and ingredients fresh every morning and some are even grown on their own farm! We ate there 3 times - the fish, tiger prawns (only 400rs for 4-5 massive fresh prawns), beef dishes and lunch meals (only 180rs for 12 dishes including fish piece in fish curry and 12 fried anchovies) are all absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant—it’s the best place I’ve eaten in Kerala! Make sure to try the chicken dish in the photo. The server mentioned it was their house special, and it was absolutely incredible. I loved it so much that I ended up ordering it twice!

The service was excellent, with the server providing detailed descriptions of the dishes and the types of fish used in them. The prices are very affordable, especially considering the amazing flavors and quality of the food.
