Ambience is dimly lit with nice music. Very spacious with a separate smoking zone for hooka. Food was not bad. The staff was also very responsive and polite.
However what I didn't like was how they treat a person who is sitting without company. They reluctantly agreed to allow me to sit on a large table because I was only one person. I understand that when there are a lot of people they may need larger table to accommodate. Which was not how it was that day.
So while I was seated, suddenly one of their waiters just took a cushion off of one of the seats around my table (there were 4, i was sitting on one) - without even asking me. I found that strange because this table is not empty, I am sitting there. They could have shown some courtesy to ask me if they can take it. Even if i am alone. Because this is not a a chai tapri - this is an expensive place where I am not just paying for food or ambience but also service and experience. I didn't say anything and let it pass.
Then again one waiter came after sometime to put back the cushion. Again without asking me. It's as if i am not even there, invisible. I asked for some water and they gave me water and a bottle. I asked to leave the bottle on my table. Suddenly another waiter comes pours water from my bottle for another guest, without asking me. Is that the only bottle they have? And after my food was over, another one came and took by bottle away - again without asking me.
I got very irritated at this point and called out to this rude behaviour. They apologized and got the bottle back. The manager came and asked me for feedback and I told him about this and their staff needs proper manners training. He accepted the feedback graciously.
I don't know whether this feedback will actually change anything but I wouldn't recommend it to female solo travellers or those who like dining alone. This definitely ruined my experience. I am not coming back here again. I wanted to be treated with respect even if I am alone especially when I am going to a expensive restaurant where I am paying premium not just for food but also for...
Read moreI had read some of the other reviews on Google and had been a little skeptical about going here, especially since I was taking my parents out for a nice dinner on their wedding anniversary. But I was left amazed by the great hospitality, ambience and food!
Something that I particularly hate about bars and places that are usually targetted for young adults is the loud music that generally ruins the ambience for the older crowd. I'm not sure if this is because it was a weekday, or it's accustomed this way in general, but the atmosphere with the DJ was just perfect! They had some fun groovy 90's hip english playing, and wouldn't leave a dent on your eardrums.
Coming to the food, everything was lip smacking good. We specially loved the Black Rice Salad and Chicken Takrai in starters. My dad has been raving about the Baby Back Pork Ribs, but the Miso Caramel Custard Tart was the showstopper for me tonight. The drinks were great too! If you're into fruity and floral cocktails, go for Colombiana or Green Fairy for a nice melon twist.
All in all if you're looking to splurge for a night and have a reall good time, I'd highly recommended this place.
Also shoutout to the interiors of this place, they have done a fantastic job! My parents had an amazing time, and that is everything to me! Definitely looking forward to coming back here with my...
Read moreThis place has a good ambience. Price for food is good. Service is good. Both veg🥬and non veg🍗 options are adequate and delicious for sure. মাছ? Yes Fish options are good too 😁
As a bar-restaurant, the seating arrangements are more suited for snacks and drinks rather than full meals, with a Hookah facility available. However, I did have a small issue when I was shown to the “restricted smoking zone” while wanting to enjoy a brighter view, only to find Hookah smoking allowed in the non-smoking area. 🤔 Is Hookah halal and cigarettes not? Just a quirky little confusion, but it didn’t ruin my overall experience.
I’m a bit particular about cleanliness, so I did request a replacement for a knife with water marks on it—minor hiccups that were quickly addressed by the staff.
Overall, don’t let the small issues take away the overall charm—this place is definitely worth a visit. The food, service, and vibe are great, though it can get a bit noisy if a group of chattering aunties decides to gather. Luckily, the loud music helped mask the noise for a more enjoyable atmosphere (although, for me, it did get a bit irritating at times). 😅
Definitely recommend checking it out—just be prepared for a...
