✨Review: 'Good Food Good Mood'
🔸Ambience: They have elegant feeling indeed. The warm decor, beautiful interior, the lights and colour combination are just amazing. The good music, classy crowd, and comfortable sitting arrangement must will make you mood. The Octa part is divided into two intermediate levels which has the bar counter at the bottom coupled with live counter and another part is at upstairs along with sitting arrangements in both the levels. 🔸Food: The foods and Cocktails which we tried were delicious and refreshing indeed. They are really doing great job in Asian, Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisines section. The BAOS which we had was one of the best baos till date. It was so soft and had the perfect filling. The Cheese cake was truly yummy, it's just not a miss if you go there. The meal box quantity and quality of each and every foods were fresh, delicious and sufficient for one person. About the Cocktails, they were really with of trying. They were chilling and mood maker ❤️ 🔸Service: Courteous staffs, who are really well professional too.
Octa opened up at the same building below Hammer at 20g on the same floor where myx club used to be. As i entered here, i was very impressed how the interiors and decor work have creatively being implemented. I could see a lot of yellow, blue and grey as their theme colour around. Be it with their walls or art work and other fun elements, all contributed toward the fresh look as a place. The bar area is quite a view to look out for especially from the upper floor. Octa has a classy and creative outlook in my opinion among many of the newly opened hang out spots in the city. If you take both the sections, the overall capacity is 140 plus. The wooden seating here does complete the look and is pretty comfortable too.
The Mockails served are very cool, as at first starting from my favourite made by the Mixologist Sujit on a special request was Coral Black. It had activated charcoal as the main character of the drink along with other ingredients. Tasted very fresh and refreshing drink. Other drinks like Kafe Fizz, No resolution and Coco Moon were good too. From the food that i had i feel the dishes were very well presented and surely can tempt anyone. Dishes curated by Chef Shaun Kenworthy was nicely done. My favourites will definitely be the Crispy Broccoli Sandwich Sushi for a new take on Sushis. This one will attract a lot of non Sushi lovers too. Then there is the Porchini and Cream Cheese Steamed Dimsums which had a very tasteful filling. The Pineapple fried rice, Mapo Cottage Cheese, Rendant Curry were quite a meal to remember. Desserts like Yuzu Cheesecake had fresh strawberries on it that took the dessert to another experience. I am eagerly waiting to have it again. The Chocolate Fondant was nice even for the center melted chocolate oozing out once cut open and served along with a scoop of ice cream on top.
Before i end, a special mention for the sheesha they are providing. It's very smooth and has that...
Read more"Good Food, Good Mood", with these words inscribed on their wall, they imbue as such with your experience as well. Certainly they have amazing food and great mix of drinks which is a huge uplift to your mood.
Octa is an asian joint, and they deliver excellent fusion asian food. We tried the edamame bon bon sushi, Thai pineapple rice with sambal baby corn and toasted cashews, and for drinks we ordered the year of the ox and ying and yang. I t was an absolute delight to try each of these. I would like to give a special mention to the chilli oil and roasted garlic they keep as condiment, they surely boost the richness of flavour to whatever you order. I loved the year of the ox as cocktail. the blend of cognac and whiskey was nothing short of perfect for my palettes. the ying and yang had a slightly sweet tone, with activated charcoal, it is a twist to vodka one would never quite imagine.
The ambiance of Octa is graceful and cultivated. The lights are just perfect to set a good mood. The music is loud enough to set a nice tempo but not oo loud to interfere with the conversation. The staff is very friendly and the service is quicker than you would imagine. They make good suggestions with drinks and are happy to help with other requests. One thing I would like to point out is the presence of typo in the menu, hope the team looks into that soon. If you have an eye for details, this small thing will irk you.
Octa is definitely a must visit, should you find yourself in Park Street. It doesn't burn a massive hole in the pocket and yet delivers the suave experience one would expect from a sophisticated Park...
