Enjoyed a lovely dinner at this recently opened beautiful eatery - Omo Calcutta - you get that old #CALCUTTA feel the moment you enter this three storeyed building - the ground floor houses the restaurant, the first floor has an awesome collection of clothes at an inhouse boutique and the third floor houses something pretty unique - an old school Jazz Club known as Skinny Mo's Jazz Club managed by who else but dear Nishit who i feel is the single biggest source of oxygen to live performance culture (especially independent music) in our city of joy - kudos bro.. #LiverMousse was unlike anything that i have had before - made with #GoatLiver - a delicacy for which i can keep coming back.. #PrawnRisotto was again one of the best risottos i have tasted till date - brilliant is the word.. #BeefSteak was pretty good too although the meat could have been slightly on the softer side.. #PannaCotta was a delight for the tastebuds - made with saffron - this was a perfect end to a grand dinner.. Some food for thought though: 1. The menu needs some more options desperately.. 2. Quantity was an issue for almost everything we relished upon in comparison to the steep pricing of the delicacies.. 3. The invoice needs to be presented in an appropriate manner with the GST number mentioned on it when GST is been charged on the bill - a handwritten invoice looks very unprofessional to say the least.. I am an admirer of this place already and hence, thought of sharing my honest feedback about the same hoping it will be worked upon at the earliest so that this place evolves into a better version of itself.. 🤝🙏 Please drop in to this one soon if you haven't already - chances are - you won't be disappointed..💯 Thanks a ton dear Chef Manish for cooking up a storm for us & for your gracious hospitality.. 🙏🤝 P.S: Thank you all for supporting Kolkata Food Trotters (on Facebook and Instagram) always - see you all at our #secondbirthday party on #19thJan - #BOOKNOW.. ❤️

OMO Bistro & Enoteca is our city's newest spot for trying out some delectable European and Italian and french cuisines. Located in 91, ground floor in Manohar Pukur road. This place can be easily located from Lake mall. It's almost 10mins walking from Lake mall in Kalighat. The restaurant is very spacious and the dining area looks out to a small patio for outdoor dining. The paved patio outside catches a good deal of sun and has table and chairs which is a perfect place to sit, relax and eat with your group of friends or family. Their off-white wall is decorated with artworks and abstract paintings and frames hung. Their menu is very diverse and the added plus is that all are indian expect the olive oil and they source their ingrediants locally and it is organic too. Now, let's look at what we all tried : Grilled chicken : The grilled chicken breast and leg was the juiciest and tender. RECOMMENDED. Grilled paneer : Here paneer is coated in a yogurt sauce, smothered in spices, and grilled on skewers just until lightly charred. I think this dish lacked a bit of seasoning. But it was perfect for my friend's taste. Chicken burger were great and would recommend you to try them out. Crispy silken tofu : Tofu's a difficult thing to cook and to my surprise, this was the best tofu dish i ever had and I loved the smoothness of the tofu. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Tortellini was quite good and perfect for my taste. It is basically handmade pasta stuffed with a mix of roasted seasonal pumpkin served with a crusty french breadslice called baguette. Cheesecake and Pannacotta were the desserts we tried and loved it to the last bit. The pannacotta gave a smooth mouthfeel and the texture was it melted-in-the-mouth and i liked it. Overall, i would definately visit here again to try out their fish dishes. It was a great experience dining in here. Until Next time

For all those who loves Jazz Music and European Cuisine just like me, Then this is surely the place for you to plan your midweek outing or weekend dating. I will summarize the entire place in three points: ✔Place- This is a 3 stored building with a concept of Jazz Club along with Bistro, which is surely gonna rock because the locality in which it is situated have some really good crowd. Further, as the property is divided into 3 segments i.e Bistro+ Boutique + Jazz Dance Floor (In Process). So, one thing is definitely clear that the motive of the place is not only to serve good food, but also entertainment and relaxation at the same time to their guests. So you can surely spend good amount of hours here.👍 ✔ Ambiance- This place gives you an appeal of European house with their classic elegance and picturesque detailing both inside and out. The decor is quite subtle with traditional looking stairs and formally defined floors for boutique, Bistro and Jazz Club. Music played is quiet soothing to ears and it really complemented the meal we had. ✔ Food- This place serves some really great food but with subtle and authentic taste and the items we tried were: 👉 Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potato 👉 Faux Grass, Liver Mousse with Toast (Highly Recommended) 👉 Grilled Paneer 👉 Crispy Silken Tofu ( Most Recommended) 👉 Mutton Roast 👉 Tortellini 👉 Pannacotta ( Lovely dessert!! Do give it a try) 👉 Cheesecake The above mentioned items i have really loved and enjoyed eating and i will also recommend all you reading the post to try it once. Also, they do have some really refreshing beverages too. Overall I have really loved the place, ambiance and especially the concept because in south this culture of Salsa, Kizomba and now Jazz is quiet trendy and the people are surely gonna have a gala time here.
