Piccadilly Square — Restaurant in Kolkata

When we entered, we asked the watchman if there is a lift. He refused to answer even after asking thrice. Finally, we used the stairs. A staff who climbed behind us told us that we could have used the lift from the adjoining store instead.

Next, I asked the waiter if they have a physical menu. He said that I have to scan the QR code, and they don't have a physical menu. I don't understand if this is an innovation or harassment? All park street hotels I have been to provide physical menus.

The food was mostly good. The service was below average. The cutlery and tissue papers were not provided adequately. The waiter forgot to give us water when we asked for it. The second time we asked he complied.

Finally, and this is the worst part, international visa card was not accepted by their payment machine. Even a local watch store that I visited before entering this restaurant accepted the card without any issue. This was quite embarassing as I had to ask my guest to use his local card to pay.

Located walking distance from Indian Museum, I was intrigued by this apparently popular cafe. I was a little disappointed.

The ambience is nothing special but it's clean and the Christmas decorations are cute.

I ordered the CAMPFIRE HOT CHOCOLATE and NUTELLA SURPRISE pancakes, eager to dig in. The hot chocolate was average and nothing to write home about. The visual was pleasing, I'll admit, but that's about it for the good part. Honestly, I've made better hot chocolate at home.

The nutella pancakes were the great letdown. The pancakes were not soft and honestly, if it were not for the molten nutella inside, I would have said the pancakes didn't seem freshly made. The only good part about the pancakes was the nutella.

Being sunday and rush time there were many people in waiting area, its good that they have Fan and AC both in waiting area but it was not turned On but after some time as rush was increasing they have turned it On. Here you can get both Chutney Co. and Piccadilly Menu card. So for Chutney Co. We ordered Paper Dosa, it was too much crispy which is very difficult to handle while eating, so it is suggested to ignore Paper Dosa. We should have ordered Regular Plain Dosa. Sambhar is good and all Variants of Chutneys are delicious. However, somewhat costly. From Piccadilly Square we ordered Pasta Masala Cheese which was not in Menu and was suggested by waiter which was average in taste, quantity was less, Price is very very high.
