I have been visiting the store for a long time now, from 2022, but never was I treated poorly. Today I visited the cafe with my fiance, we were sitting closely and hugging from the side. Barista Krishnendu made some gestures far from the counter, and then came to us, laughing said that this is not allowed. We asked him what's not allowed? He said this is a family restaurant and this is not allowed. Later we got to know that there has been a complaint from another customer that they were feeling uncomfortable because of us. So, instead of informing the other customer that they could have ignored us, he chose to moral police me and my fiance. So now, if a lady arrives at the cafe in a short revealing dress, I can go over the counter and ask the barista to make that lady leave the cafe, because that is making me feel uncomfortable. Is it so? If at all it's against Starbucks policy, then he could have asked the manager or store-in-charge to inform us, instead of taking up the matter in his own hands. And mind you, this same Krishnendu refused to give adequate amount of whipped cream on my frapuccino, when i told him, he said it would overflow. So i asked him to give me extra whipped cream in a separate cup, for which he informed that it's not allowed. That CCTV is there. This whipped cream incident happened a few days ago. The store in charge was very cooperative and I have known him for a long time now since i am a regular customer. But this Krishnendu guy really needs to do his training again. This is a service industry and this kind of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable.
One more incident that i noticed today: while i was eating there today evening, an elderly lady came and ordered something. She seemed to be mentally unwell, she was talking to herself and making rapid hand movements. A few people including me were looking at her but not in a disrespectful way, but in a concerning manner. However Mr Krishnendu was continuously laughing at her till she left the cafe. And mind it, no other staff member were laughing...

Location & Ambience Location is excellent since it is situated at the heart of South Cal in South City Mall.
The café is spacious and has ample room for 60 people at max capacity. Ambience is top notch. Lighting is soft and cozy and the same applies for the music playing. (Starbucks always has good lo-fi tracks, many of which I have Shazamed and added to my library).
Hospitality The lifeblood of any café, Starbucks or otherwise, lies in its baristas period. Their ability to serve customers can make or break the café experience (and by extension the longevity of a café).
The baristas at Starbucks South City are fantastic in terms of hospitality and quality service! They have always been welcoming and willing to attend to consumer needs. The baristas are why I keep coming to Starbucks as opposed to CCD and other competitors. (Special kudos here to the store manager who oversees the baristas. His professionalism and no-nonsense sense of efficiency keeps the café operational even during rush hours. Forgetting his name here sorry.)
Cons No review of mine comes without cons so here goes.
Air conditioning can make the café chilly if you are wearing summer clothing sometimes. Can be difficult to get seating during weekends. This sucks if you are a WFC (work from café) professional. Nitro Cold Brew drinks are freaking amazing and not available here unlike in Park...
