Honestly the place is overrated. Food is not as you would expect. People who are giving good reviews have no idea what actual Italian cuisine tastes like. The main reason is they have not tasted it yet. Ambience is very noisy and compressed. There is not even a washroom for a restaurant that is having a bar. The service was good until one of them rushed behind us when we paid the bill but actually miscalculated the money and the manager not even apologized to us as that was their mistake and not ours. Coming back to the cuisine. We have ordered aglio gamberi e calamari and capricciosa along with some mocktails but believe me apart from the pizza the foods were terrible and so was the drink. Also we have later on ordered some lamb lassagnia but the sauce used was absolutely blunt and the ingredients used like the pasta sheets felt like very cheap qualities. We finished off with the tiramisu which was ok and better as compared to previous disappointments. I would not recommend anyone who is looking for the authentic Italian taste as it is nowhere near it. Putting good pictures and expensive prices won't make any food like the one from the place of its origin. You need to have good expertise and hands which have seen these delightful cuisines being made where it belongs. The owner may have had a chance to visit this beautiful country that started this heavily cuisine but he may not have learnt the delicate touches and insights required to reproduce these gems of cuisines. Anyways we may not have understood the real picture of not visited and tasted but definitely it's a big thumbs down from my side. Better you see some good videos try to purchase the materials from some place that supplies you with good authentic raw materials and try it yourself following the authentic process. Definitely it will save you a lot of money and more than that it will be a lot...
Read moreOne of the newest Italian bar and kitchen in the town. Located, in the South City Mall itself (besides Warehouse), they have built a wonderful ambience. The place is decorated with items resembling the sculpture of Europe in the renaissance period that gives a great vibe. The area is not too large but the arrangement of tables are such that the place can accomodate you quite a space.
We had ordered: Food: Piccante Pizza ( topped with Pepperoni) Loaded Pork Sausage Pizza Vino Bianco ( White wine chicken served with burnt garlic bread)
Drinks: Sensi Chianti Collezione (Italian Red Wine) Veneto LIIT Double Wild Spirits Iced Tead (upgraded version of LIIT for 2)
Now coming to the taste and quality, the pizzas were too good. I loved both the Piccante and Loaded Pork Pizzas so much. Though coming to a proper Italian restro that's the expectation everyone would have and Veneto has superbly met it. Quantity of the Vino Bianco was so so.... didn't like it too much but yeah, we ordered it for a change of taste after 2 pizzas.
The drinks are so so....Quite expensive in every aspect but we went on a special occasion so just had it. Suggestion: No need to drink in this place.
Overall feedback: The place can be a try out for food lovers looking for an Italian experience....there were some authentic Italian items served here what I saw on the menu. Couldn't try those but definitely worth a try. Pizzas and the toppings are really great . Ambience is great but like I said...for 3 of us with the above-mentioned order the cost was Rs. 7k+ (per head above 2k+ with drinks ofcourse). So you can consider these factors before paying...
Read moreThe food is really good. Hence the 2 star rating. But that is also not something that will get me back to the place the third time. And if your steward is Sumit, your overall experience will be rushed, hurried, getting mocked and too much unwanted attention..
We hadn’t even finished half our starters, and he ‘said’ we can order the main course shoving the menu card to my friend’s face. When we asked for quinoa pasta, he said we won’t enjoy it, it does not taste good, so we should go Plain penne. So we asked for whole wheat pasta (thinking they might not know how to cook it well); he warned us that it would taste different, because it is normal pasta. Thanks Sumit for explaining us. He served the pasta to us and explained the color difference and how to will taste different because it’s whole wheat pasta AGAIN He then mockingly asked, do you want to take picture.. take picture. Annoyed we told him we will serve ourselves. him we will serve ourselves. The moment we bit into our last bite in our plate, steward would come, in middle of our conversation without excusing, picked up the dish and started to serve us. We weren’t ready and wanted to take time to eat. Talk some and eat some. It happened 3 TIMES.. after which we had to sternly said we will serve ourselves One person came to pick our plates and Sumit came with the dessert menu open - “want to order a dessert or bring the check” We got our bill within a min of his asking. And within 2 mins we were out.
We found the staff rude, disrespectful and...
