Kolkata Unveiled: A Night at Warehouse with Magic on the Decks
Stepping into Warehouse wasn't just entering a cafe/club; it was a gateway to a sensory explosion that redefined my nightlife expectations. As someone whose job takes me around the world, I've experienced countless nightspots, but nothing quite like this.
The first thing that grabbed me was the music. Unlike the generic mixes I often encounter, here, DJs Paddy and Omi weaved a spellbinding tapestry of Bollywood tunes. They weren't just playing songs; they were curating an experience, seamlessly blending old classics with modern hits, catering to my nostalgia while keeping things fresh. It felt like they were reading my mind, playing tracks that resonated perfectly with my vibe. Rarely have I encountered such an in-tune DJ duo.
But the magic didn't stop there. The food was equally impressive. Forget your average bar fare; Warehouse served up dishes that were both delicious and innovative. Every bite was a testament to the culinary skills of the team, leaving me wanting more.
And then there was the staff. Attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile, they added another layer of warmth to the already inviting atmosphere. They weren't just servers; they were facilitators of good times, ensuring every guest felt welcome and comfortable.
Finally, let's not forget the legendary LIIT. This potent concoction wasn't just strong; it was perfectly balanced, packing a punch without sacrificing flavor. It was the perfect way to cap off an already incredible evening.
From the music that moved me to the food that delighted me, from the attentive staff to the potent LIIT, Warehouse wasn't just a night out; it was an unforgettable experience. To the Warehouse team, I say a heartfelt thank you. You've created something truly special, and I, for one, am absolutely blown away. Keep doing what you're doing – you're setting...
Read moreThe place is in the hearts of South Calcutta in South City Mall. The restaurant took prior reservation. When we reached the place we were allocated a huge table, though we were just 3 of us. It was new years eve, so the rush was evident, hence a staff requested us politely if we 3 can move to a smaller table since that table would cater to big group. We obliged and ordered food. Noticed that two staffs were roaming with shot glasses and whiskey around all tables and requesting the visitors to take the shots. We were quite intrigued by it and thought they are complimentary since it's new years eve. When we were offered the same, they said it's chargeable, then also we took 2 shots (30ml each) and thought how much it would cost at the most around 100-300 per shot. The shot tasted like some syrup, it was that sweet. We should have clarified the cost then and there, because when we got the bill we got the biggest shock of our visit. It costed 600 per shot excluding GST and service charges. We ordered other food items and cocktails too but nothing pinched more than that 30ml shot of Jack Daniels cinnamon honey shot. Such a wate of money! Pls do not try their shots because they hoot for each shot taken but that's just how they mint money from innocent visitors who have no idea about the exorbitant price. The photographer too there are clicking photos there and asking if we want hard copy of the same which will again cost Rs. 100 per photo. Like, seriously? Who wants hard copy of the photos from a restaurant visit these days?!? Overall, disappointing visit because of their weird policy. Food, music and ambience are the only...
Read moreVisited Warehouse Cafe for a weekend lunch seeing all the great reviews but was quite disappointed with the food. The ambience and interiors are great and so was the service but the food didn't live up to the hype. We ordered: Smoked Salmon Sushi - The sushi would have been decent if they didn't drizzle it with a very sweet sauce which was most probably made of miso. The drizzled sauce was so sweet it ruined the entire sushi experience. Crispy Charcoal Pork Bao - The Bao was okayish. The sauce inside the Bao was nice and spicy. The pork piece inside was very tough. The bao bun could have been softer. Lamb Adana Kebab - Lamb Kebabs served witb Pilaf and salad. Maybe it's how the dish is supposed to be but the overpowering flavour of the spices completely subdued the Lamb flavour. The pilaf was again extremely sweet. I would not recommend this dish. Berry Delight - The mocktail was berry flavoured as the name suggests and was refreshing but it was again extremely sweet. If someone is ordering this would recommend asking the server to cut down on the sweetness. Eastern Elixir - if someone has tasted Pran's Litchi Drink, then this mocktail tastes exactly the same. Again quite an okayish drink. Our disappointment in the food forced us to leave the place only after eating the starters and go to another restaurant just beside this place to have the...
