I recently dined at Tasty Treat Restaurant in Chandni Chowk, Kolkata, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the establishment’s positive reputation for its cuisine and ambiance, the service during my visit was notably subpar.

Upon arrival, the new staff exhibited unprofessional behavior, lacking the attentiveness and courtesy expected in the hospitality industry. Requests were met with delays, and there was a palpable sense of indifference towards patrons. When an error occurred with our order, instead of acknowledging the mistake and offering a solution, the staff became defensive. The manager intervened but, rather than addressing the issue appropriately, attempted to justify the staff’s actions without offering an apology or corrective measure. This approach not only failed to resolve the situation but also diminished the overall dining experience.

While Tasty Treat has received accolades for its culinary offerings and cozy ambiance,  it’s imperative for the management to prioritize customer service. Investing in comprehensive staff training and fostering a culture that values customer satisfaction are essential steps to ensure that the service complements the quality of the food. I ordered as follows:-

1. hot and sour soup which was sweet and not sour at all;
2. veg thali in which the papad was not roasted and the sabzi i.e. vege of potato and cauliflower was extremely salty;
3. green salad in which cucumber was rotten and was smelling, carrots were completely dry as if they are reused.
4. Onion masala salad which tasted good;
5. Dry Fruit lassi which was good . While having the food we told the server to call the chef and she informed that she has asked the chef to come and he will come in a while. Chef didn't come I guess . I guess a person from management attended us and was extremely rude. He entered the place and started behaving as if nothing can be wrong in the food as he is been serving for the whole day in online bookings. He never accepted that anything can be ever wrong in the food. He just doesn't know anything about the hospitality . I was shocked with his atrocious behaviour and just paid the bill ,left the food and left the place. I will never go back to this place . The server was so polite but the management needs to learn lot of things. I understand a person having confidence about his place and food but I don't understand this kind of behaviour. Tastytreatkolkata, a hidden gem is located just opp to inox hind, few minutes walking from chadni chowk metro station gate no.3 and it serves a huge variety of delicacies at an extremely affordable pricing. You can get amazing options for lunch or snacks starting from shakes,mocktails,Indian thalis,chinese,etc and the taste is just awesome. They have a small seating arrangement of around 7-8 people but the ambiance was good. The staffs are well mannered and they maintain a high quality cleanliness.
