New Market is now a place for rogue hawkers. They are backed by the ruling government and illegally occupy roads. They have taken over previous parking spaces and illegally overcharge for parking without giving any receipt or showing a valid ID card. They abuse you if you ask for receipt of ID proof. Most shopkeepers, hawkers and customers do not bother to wear a mask. No policy of hand sanitisation or thermal screening.
