Tiretti Bazaar Chinese Breakfast — Restaurant in Kolkata

This place is named after Edward Tiretta an Italian immigrant hence the place is called Tiretta Bazaar and the oldest place where the first Chinese immigrants settled. The oldest Chinese breakfast bazaar.

Breakfast ordered:

Fish Sui mai Rs 120 for 4 pieces Meat ball soup. Rs 60 for 2 pieces Fish ball soup Rs 60 for 2 pieces Red meat Pao or Bao Rs 6o Pork Pao or Bao. Rs 60

Opens from 5:00am onwards till 9:00 am or till the stocks last.

All the above items are amazing tastewise and this place is a must try once in a while.

I wouldn't recommend momos as the layers are very thick and the filling isn't that great.

We have been planning for many years to visit during our annual trip to this iconic chinese breakfast place in the middle of Kolkata. Unfortunately, the expectations did not meet reality as the dwindling number of vendors, with only a couple of them Chinese did not quite bring the vibrancy to life neither did it attract many people when we visited about 8ish in the morning. There were fried and steamed dumplings, sausages and a few other stuffs. It mostly looked unappealing even to an avid street food lover like me. The only stand-out was an old Chinese couple towards the back serving up bak-pao or steaming hot bread filled with chicken...

Good experience with good food. This place is run by not only Chinese people but by the local people also. Rather they are more in number. You can experience good Chinese foods at affordable prices. But the menu is very short. Some more items should be added. Overall good experience. Must visit...
