I was supposed to give zero stars to this place but I understand technical faults hence am giving 3 stars to this place for overall and for atmosphere. Last Sunday I went to Zucca lounge and to my surprise I found it is no more roof top open air lounge. I went there last time in 2021 and at that time it was a completely open air sitting roof top restaurant and lounge. I don't know when they changed their decor and it is no more open air. The whole roof top is fortified with glass fixed in a wood frame. Hence the place became a little suffocating but to my surprise or my bad luck god knows, i found the air conditioning system failed due to some technical error. Their in-house mechanic tried for long to fix it but he failed too. As I had already placed an order and my food was almost ready to serve I was not allowed to cancel the order. Fine enough... I had my hot pizza asap which was quite exhausting. The pizza was really good and I must say they have mastered the art. I was supposed to order a cup of darjeeling tea which i did not due to the failure of the air conditioning system. I really could have given zero stars rating but as they ruined my evening. But pizza saved them. Now another surprise, they have added service charge with the bill even though the ac system was not working. They don't have a little bit of basic sense that when they gave so much pain to the customers they could not add service charge. I asked them to remove it from the bill and they provided me with a fresh bill without service charge. For people, looking for parking, yes you can easily park your cars at the sidewalk of the street. The decor of this place is good but I found it suffocating if it get crowded. I had booked this place for my son's birthday on 17th May, 2023. My experience was very bad.

They allowed other guests inside the private party area. The entrance was common, but while booking they showed a different entrance for other guests and said this wouldn't be a problem.

The overall service was slow and reactive in nature. Like there was nothing proactive right from getting the welcome drinks to the starters to the main course.

The food was average. While booking they promised a prawn tempura and what was served was boiled prawn in some odd gravy!! The prawns in the starters were getting over and took a lot of time to be refilled. It looked like, by looking at the demand, they were instructing to cook another batch (while the guests were waiting). Starters came after 10-15 minutes of waiting after the cake cutting, while guests waited and they kept assuring it's on the way.

At full capacity (I had close to 40 guests) the AC was below par. It was sweaty. On complaining, no acknowledgement.

There was no dedicated attendant for my party. It was a shared crew. The crew was busy serving hookah/drinks to other people in the restaurant. They were even taking grievances from them inside the private party area. I had to literally convince the guy at the counter to take it outside.

The main guy (forgot his name) was rude and never acknowledged any of the grievances. His reply was "this is all acceptable" !!

The glass room (which is why we booked) along with the birthday theme decoration was decent.

Overall, not sure if this was one off, shouldn't be but to be safer don't consider this place for special occasions. Enjoy a hookah with friends and watch...
