Visited with 3 friends for a tasting event and we tried the following:-
MOCKTAILS:-
White Cloud- Combination of Litchi Juice and Fresh Cream mixed together for a refreshing and amazing taste.
Import Export- Kaffir Lime and Orange Syrup based drink. Had strong and perfect flavours and was nice in taste.
STARTERS:-
Chicken BBQ Winglets- Perfectly baked and fried chicken wings tossed in special BBQ sauce. Was perfect in taste and went well with the accompanied dip.
Tangdi Butter Garlic- Chicken leg drumsticks marinated with butter and garlic mixture gravy.Gravy was thick and was something unique which i saw first time. This dish is really a treat for your eyes and your tummy with its unique way of presentation.
Smoked Fish- Boneless pieces of Pomfret fish marinated with black pepper and cumin. It was smoked with the flavour of clove. Served in a sizzler plate with foil paper covering to maintain its smokey feel. Had a wonderful taste and fish was fresh.
Murgh Peshawari Tikka- Juicy and boneless pieces sprinkled with spices and marinated in chilli paste. Marination was bang on and taste was PERFECT !! This is a must try and star dish amongst all the other starters which we tried.
Jhinga Koliwada- Deep fried prawns in koliwada masala had nice taste.
MAINS:-
Murgh Matka- Boneless chicken pieces infused with cardamom and mace in a thick onion and tomato based gravy. Gravy had good taste and went well along with the garlic naan.
Gosht Rogan Josh- Mutton cubes braised in a gravy with onions, tomatoes, yoghurt and kashmiri red chilli. I liked this dish more than the Chicken Matka. Taste was simply superb with the right amount of spices and mutton was also fresh and properly cooked. Went well along with the garlic naan
Apart from this we also had Garlic Naan and Jeera Rice which were good in taste as expected.
DESSERTS:-
After having such amazing dishes your meal has to end on a sweeter note. We opted for:-
Moong Daal Halwa- This was recommended by the manager Mr. Jackson and was a TOTAL HIT.. Had a beautiful texture and superb taste as it was made in pure ghee. Sweetness level was also optimum.
Rabdi Jalebi- This is one of the trickiest dish to make as the sweetness level in this should be kept perfect.Tarsh managed to make this as expected. Rabdi was thick and not overloaded with sweet flavour. Level of sweetness in the piping hot jalebi was also proper and it was crispy and freshly made.
Firni (Assorted flavours)- Though i have not tasted firni much but the firni served here was something i liked. It was served to us in 4 different flavours (Regular, Kiwi, Strawberry, Mango) Strawberry and Mango variants were my Picks in this which i liked the most.
Sizzling Brownie With Vanilla Ice-Cream- To be frank i don't like this dish so i rarely have it.The one which i had here was also good in taste as expected.
OVERALL:-
Pricing is reasonable.
Ambience is TOP NOTCH with some awesome music !!
Staff is polite and well trained.
Comfortable Seating.
Prompt Service.
Special Thanks To Mr.Amandeep and Mr. Jackson for hosting such a wonderful dinner and hospitality. Would surely visit to try the lunch...
Read moreGenerally 'Tarsh' means, of Indian origin and 'Gastronomy' means 'the art of preparing and eating good food'. Though, from the name it seems like they only focus on the Indian cuisine, trust me they have one hell of a menu. Right from typical Indian dishes to chinese and to Italian, they have a wide menu in both, veg and non-veg sections.
As it is located on the 8th floor of White Square building in Hinjewadi you get a pleasing panoramic view.
Food : The menu is extensive consisting the cuisines like north india, chinese, italian and continental. They have a wide buffet spread(only for lunch) and a large A la carte menu. We opted for A la carte and tried the following dishes.
*VEG STARTERS :
DAHI KE KEBAB [Rs.325] : Very delicate, bit tangy and moist kebabs made with hung yogurt and paneer really melted in mouth. The kebabs were moist from inside and had a nice crispy covering. Though, they were deep fried they weren't oily at all.
NIMBOO PANEER [Rs.350] : The paneer was very fresh and soft, marinated in yogurt with spicesr. As the name says limboo, I was expecting it more tangy and more flavourful. It was a little bland for my taste.
3.ATISH ALOO [Rs.290] : This dish was a sheer disappoinment as the marination of the aloo was not done properly and resulted in pretty bland taste.
CRISPY NACHOS [Rs.325] : Spicy and crispy nachos were served with cheese sauce, salsa sour cream and guacamole. The cheese sauce was nice and warm and other two dips were also pretty deccent.
*VEG PIZZA :
1.CALZONE ETNA [Rs.450] : This was a folded, stuffed pizza with a stuffing of spinach, bell peppers and loads of mozzarella & ricotta cheese. I didn't like it much as it was too cheesey for my palate but if you like cheese a lot, you can give it a try.
*VEG MAIN COURSE : In main course, we went for typical north indian dishes and all the dishes were up to the mark.
PANEER MAKHANI [Rs.399] : Every vegeterian's favourite dish to order! Soft, succulent paneer cubes were cooked in a slightly sweet red gravy. The gravy was rich, very smooth, creamy and delicious.
2.DUM SUBZ HANDI [Rs.325] : Vegetables like potato, cauliflower, capscicum and carrots were cooked in a meadium spicy, tomato based red gravy. As the name says 'dum', a little smoky flavour could have been appreciated.
DAL BUKHARA [Rs.275] : Black lentils were slow cooked and simmered in a rich and creamy tomato based gravy. The consistency of this dal was thick and it tasted superb.
*DESSERTS : I must admit, all the desserts except one were outstanding and delicious.
THREE MILK CAKE [Rs.375] : This dessert was the star of the night. It's an excellent choice for all the milk cake lovers. Three types of milk are used in this dish. At the bottom, there was a cake. On top of it was khoya, again a cake slice and on top was whipped cream.. Condensed milk was poured on top with some pistachio slivers.
2.SHAHI TUKDA WITH RABDI [Rs.250] : Bread slices were fried and soaked in saffron-sugar syrup and then it was topped with rabdi and garnished with slivers of almonds & pistachios. The rabdi had right amount of sweetness and thickness. Loved it!
MATKA PHIRNI [Rs.175] : Again, this was also really good. Rich and creamy rice pudding with a hint of saffron and cardamom was a perfect dessert to complete the meal. It was not too sweet and that's how I like it.
AMBIENCE : The place is pretty big with amazing ambience. There is open outer door seating, indoor seating with some big tables for a group or family, some hut like structure for private time. The indoor section has two parts, one has bar counter and buffet spread and other is for a la carte. There are lots of flower plants in small pots evereywhere which is very...
