A place which would always been a part of my beautiful memory. Reaching the place isnt a task though, as you reach you see two huge double doors which open into a culinary delicacy of ultra rich modern northern cusines. Lavishly placed seatings along with triple heighted ceiling. Located at BKC's huge commercial area complex. Pros; The ambience which is freaking huge, chic and elegant in itself. The serving portions are actually quite too much for an individual to complete. The quality of the serving which actually have a vibrant look and presentation value. The staff which was quite courteous and prompt. Cons; None as such noticed.
What we ordered; 🔹️ Go-Gaga; HIGHLY RECOMMENDED If you think a drink cant please you with its oresentation value you definitely should order this drink. And im pretty sure youll melt in the purple colour of it. Passion fruit mixed along with Tequila base which actually had a taste of its own. It definitely is a must try. Rating: 4.5/5
🔹️ Pahadi Picante; RECOMMENDED Another Tequila base cocktail which we tried here which has Paan flavour blended along with Khasi Coriander and Chakotra Puree. It also had chilli covered on the rims of the glass. Definitely an indian hit of flavours on your palette. Rating: 4/5
🔹️ Tiger Prawns; HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Definitely the starter plate which has to be a bang on. Taste, Quality and the Presentation everything on top notch quality. The perfectly marinated juicy prawns been dipped in butter garlic sauce made it stand out. Rating: 4.5/5
🔹️ Stuffed Chicken Legs; RECOMMENDED I personally never had tried something like this anywhere, as i read it thought of giving it a shot. But it gave me a different experience. Minced chicken been stuffed in the drumstick and then tandoor grilled it making it double the original size, served along with onions, betroots and the signature Pudina chutney. If you never have tried it. You could definitely give it a shot. Rating: 4/5
🔹️ Mutton Nihari; RECOMMENDED Now this is what anyone could call a maincourse. Justifying to its name the mutton nalli nihari is absolutely not to be missed out here. The indian fusion foods whicb this places serves im a modern way is absolutely on a different level. Talking about this Nihari its straight from the heart of Lucknow. You wont regret after having this. We had this along with Khapli Aata Phulka and Steam rice later on. Rating: 4/5
🔹️ Yetti Dosa; RECOMMENDED Rawa dosa served along with prawns. Coconut flavoured dry gravy with onions actually gives it one of the best aroma taking straight to the kerala style cooked food. The quality of prawns were fresh and they actually were fulfilling. Loved the combination of Dosa and Prawns. Rating: 4/5
🔹️ Naga Passion Fruit; HIGHLY RECOMMENDED How couls you leave out on a dessert. After the most fulfilling two course meal we came up to the last part which js the desserts. We were served Passion fruit infused Dark Chocolate Cake. And a Vanilla Icecream on the top along with butterfly pea flower. According to me this is a must have dessert and you definitely wont regret after having it. Rating: 4.5/5
Final Verdict; The Indie Fusion restaurant which have actually made a mark of its own here in BKC as well as its new branch in Goa have created wonders. I was actually satisfied with all the food I had here. Definitely ill plan my visit back again here. Thankyou for making a memory in our heart. Cheers to the entire team of Bawri. Keep...
Read moreBawari at BKC came highly recommended, and after dining here, I completely get why. The vibe is relaxed yet chic, with a modern take on traditional Indian cuisine. We were a group of four and tried a bit of everything, so here’s my rundown of what we ordered.
APPETIZERS:
Kakori Kebab: These two kebabs were an absolute delight. They were soft and smooth, with an interesting mix of flavors like cardamom and cinnamon coming through. What stood out the most was the texture—melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Served with onion and a green chutney, these kebabs were a hit at the table, not just with me but with everyone.
Pathar Ka Gosht: Served on a thick black stone slab, these strips of meat were something special. They were soft, succulent, and honestly felt quite luxurious in both flavor and presentation. The portion was just right for two people, and I found it paired really well with the rotis we ordered. A memorable dish, to say the least.
MAIN COURSE:
Flame Grilled Chicken: This was totally unexpected and a pleasant surprise. Butter tandoori chicken served with pickled vegetables. The four large pieces of chicken were cooked to perfection. The flame grill flavor really came through, making each bite rich and smoky. The skin-on chicken added an extra layer of juiciness that I loved. Honestly, one of the best grilled chickens I've had in a while.
Kala Mutton: The Kala Mutton was something else entirely. The thick gravy, loaded with flavors of charred onions, garlic, coriander, and a hint of green chili, was bold and aromatic. The mutton itself was incredibly tender. We couldn’t stop ourselves from ordering a second plate—yes, it was that good! The gravy paired beautifully with the naan we ordered, making it a must-try.
BREADS:
Bawri Naan: Soft, pillowy, and a great accompaniment to the rich, flavorful gravies.
Dahi Ki Khamiri Roti: This roti had a unique texture with a slight tang from the yogurt. Worked really well with the curries.
Confit Garlic & Kalonji Naan: Garlic lovers, rejoice! This naan was bursting with the flavors of garlic and nigella seeds. A bit crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and absolutely delicious.
DESSERTS:
Malai Kulfi Sandwich: This dessert was a treat. Creamy malai kulfi sandwiched between crispy discs, cut into four parts. Simple yet indulgent, it was a perfect way to end the meal.
Black & White Gajar Halwa: I’ve had gajar halwa before, but this was next level. Served with ice cream, the combination of warm halwa and cold ice cream made for a fantastic contrast. The flavors were rich and comforting, a great dessert for halwa lovers.
DRINKS:
Our Tenga: A well-balanced cocktail made with whiskey, ou tenga (a tart Assamese fruit), apricot, ginger, honey, and smoky whiskey. It was smoky, sweet, and tangy all at once. A solid drink to kick off the night.
Finding Nemu: Another hit at the table. Vodka with kaji lime sorbet, chamomile, sapasawa (a traditional drink from Assam), and sparkling wine. Refreshing, light, and perfect for pairing with the heavier dishes.
Overall, from the beautifully cooked meats to the flavorful gravies and standout drinks, it was an experience worth having. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a mix of modern Indian cuisine with some creative twists. Will I go...
