Biryani By Kilo - Lower Parel — Restaurant in Mumbai

In these times of pandemic, we finally ordered for food and this time around we were keen to have Biryani. Had heard of Biryani By Kilo and we decided to give it a try. Packaging was superb, leak proof. Food came in quite warm. Talking about what all we ordered -

Kebab Platter which comes with 4 kebabs - Veg Galouti, Crispy Corn Stick, Kaju Ki Seekh and Paneer Multani. The packaging was quite neat. Of this Crispy Corn Stick was absolutely brilliant, must try. Also loved the Veg Galouti, wasn't dry at all. In fact quite quite soft and fresh, melts in mouth. Same was the case with Kaju Ki Seekh.

We had also called for Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, comes in 1/2 kg or 1 kg packs. It's packed in Handis. You also get another small handi with tealight candles which help keeping the biryani warm. This is quite unique, haven't seen this concept in any other delivery kitchens. Biryani is yum, I most definitely recommend it. Looking forward to trying Paneer Biryani next time.

We also called for Matka Phirni for dessert. Comes in a cute small Handi again. Phirni is brilliant, not too sweet just perfect. Quite thick as well. Superb food from Biryani By Kilo, wishing...

Biryani by kilo (BBK) is a must try when it comes to Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani and also their impeccable appetisers.

The biryani is cooked with perfection on slow flame using long grain basmati rice, chicken and perfect spices. I could sense the perfectly marinated chicken in it. It was loaded with generous amount of chicken. It takes time, patience and expertise to cook something like this but trust me all these efforts taken are worthwhile when you dig into this delicacy at every bite.

Chicken ghee roast is a delicious combination of chicken and spices roasted in ghee. Medium spicy and a must try for sure. Also the Phirni was equally good and a generous quantity is offered.

The packaging was done neatly, no oil spillage. All the products came in eco friendly containers especially the Biryani and Phirni which came in earthen pot including a ‘Aanch’ which helped in giving a good 8-10 minutes Dum to the Biryani before serving.

Overall happy with the dishes. Happy Eating :)

Ordered lunch today from here… for me and my mom.

We ordered for Veg Biryani and Paneer 65.

Paneer 65 was so so delicious and so nicely cooked and perfectly served in a disposable and safe box. Also, paneer was so soft making it even more delicious!

And their veg biryani is like a piece of heaven on earth! They serve biryanis in an earthen pot with a chulhaa to heat that earthern pot. Chulhaa has candles inside it and then you have to keep that biryani filled earthen pot on a chulhaa for like 8-10 minutes and then you can open the lid and enjoy some delicious biryani. Filled with aroma of indian spices and cooked slowly in that pot and garnished with fried onions and giving it a proper shahi look! Loved it so much!! Biryani was served with onios, salan and raita. Amazingg!

We also ordered phirni. It was of saffron flavor and it was so yumm!

One can never go wrong with this...
