Good Afternoon. I was rather shocked that you guys are charging Rs 775 for a 30 ml of Honeybee brandy which probably is one of the cheapest brandies available in India. A full bottle of Honeybee brandy of 750 ml will cost about Rs 850 in the regular market. A large Honeybee brandy of 60 ml at your place will cost about Rs 1600 which is ridiculous and outrageous. I am surprised that the management has taken a decision to fix a 30 ml honeybee brandy at Rs 775 and a large at Rs 1550 for one of the cheapest brandies available in India. There should be some ethical value behind the costing and keeping the price soooo high will leave any customer with a bitter feeling for life. Like I said, in my 54 years of existence, the price of Honeybee brandy at your place has made me mentally sick and a true sense of feeling cheated. Leave alone being cheated, being robbed at knife point having come over to your place. I truly regret having come over to Dome and I have been cursing myself for having made the biggest mistake of my life. Even in places like Leela or the Taj which is a 7 star hotel, a small Honeybee brand will never ever cost as much as it costs in your place. I just want to know on what basis, the management fixed an astronomical price for a 30 ml Honeybee brandy knowing very well that a full bottle costs only Rs 850 in the regular market. Presuming I have a full bottle which is 12 pegs, I would be paying Rs 1600 × 12 which is close to Rs 18000 for a bottle of Honeybee brandy. Its sad that we were taken for a jolly good ride by your restaurant and I will not get over it for life. Dissapointed, I returned to my club last night after the bitter saga at your place and ordered a large Honeybee brandy. Well, in one of the finest clubs in India, it costed me Rs 80 as against Rs 1600 at Dome. Well I have nothing much to say...a bitter feeling of being cheated. Never again will I make a mistake like what I did...Could you please speak to the management and revert to my message. Thank you Dr....
Read moreFor those seeking an open-to-sky lounge with a delightful ambiance, the Dome Restaurant Intercontinental at Marine Drive, Mumbai is a destination worth considering. This establishment offers a unique setting where guests can enjoy their dining experience under the open sky. However, it is important to note that the cuisine served here leans more towards international flavors, so those expecting traditional Indian dishes may need to adjust their expectations.
During my visit, I observed that the staff primarily consisted of trainees who were still in the learning phase of their roles. While they were polite and attentive, there were some minor service issues that could be improved upon. Nonetheless, it was evident that they were putting in their best effort to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
I opted for a Long Island Iced Tea (LIIT), but unfortunately, it fell short in terms of taste and lacked the expected flavor profile. However, one dish that truly stood out was the charcoal Bao, which was a culinary delight and certainly worth sampling.
In conclusion, if you're in the mood for a trendy rooftop lounge with an impressive view, the Dome Restaurant Intercontinental should be on your list of places to visit. Its open-air setting and inviting ambiance create a memorable dining experience. Just keep in mind that the menu focuses more on international cuisine, and the service may have some room for improvement due to the presence of...
Read moreI had a Horrible experience at The Dome, Intercontinental.
Sharing my experience, Firstly, I was not allowed to choose a table of my choice even though the restaurant was empty. We were not offered drinking water for a long period After completing the appetizers, we asked them for drinking water and then the water was served. We were not given spoons with the desserts.
The waiter denied to serve the food on the platter and informed us it is self service.
Such small hospitality things were not taken care of by the Dome, intercontinental.
In terms of hospitality, I would rate them in negatives. Probably the management should reconsider their definition of 5-star hospitality. A small restaurant or local dhabha will provide you with much better hospitality than Dome.
Food and drinks were good according to the taste. Also, there is a minimum spend of 2000rs per person (which is again a senseless clause), and they are not serving all the items they have listed in the menu on Zomato. I observed that the restaurant menu was different with very few options than what is listed on Zomato.
My overall experience was pathetic and disappointing, I was not expecting this from intercontinental. Heard a lot about it but when went to experience it, couldn't be satisfied. Taj and JW Marriott could be a much...
