Socials are always a fun place to hang out. Day time it's always chill, similar to a lounge. While night time there's always good party. Crowd is also very decent. Rates are average and, within their menu, breakfasts and shared plates need to be highlighted. In this branch the dim lightning during daytime was awesome, promoting a calm and pleasant environment.👌
I visited this branch for the first time this weekend. The following are the two things that I disliked:
Firstly, menu is only accessible through scanner. And that's a big No-no to me... My thinking applies not only to Socials but all hotels where they don't offer a physical menu anymore. While I understand that we are trying to digitised eveything, I also think that hotels need to be more practical in this manner. I was hardly getting any network on my phone, therefore, menu was taking too long to load. There was this waitress trying to help me download it looking for signal with my phone. I appreciate the help, but instead of wasting minutes, why not just take my order the traditional way? There might be times that we simply want to relax and disconnect from our gadgets. It does irritate me to browse for an online menu, that too when it is taking too long. And I'm just looking to having a chill time with myself, while eventually I end up dependant on my phone for something that could be simply done faster through other methods. This also made me reflect on why do they levy 10% on service charge if slowly I'm the one ordering and soon checking out by myself online?
The second thing was that there is no washroom available inside. If you are taking time to drink, eat and spend a long time with your people, you will be forced to go to the mall washrooms. Honestly, this is a bit inconvenient and a huge turn off. I do understand that this Social is not as big as other branches and belongs inside a mall, which may make this situation a bit more...

I had the absolute worst experience at Goregaon Socials. The service was terrible, we had to ask the waiter to get our food and drinks repeatedly. They either turned a deaf ear or forgot. The wrong bill was given to my table and they made me pay double the amount. After realizing their mistake, the correct bill was given and they made me pay that too, otherwise they wouldn't let me leave.
My bill was 2, 864 but they made me pay an additional 5.864 with the promise that it would be returned within 12 hours. The number of a certain Mr. Cletus Lobo was provided to me for following up in case of a delay but it was perpetually unavailable and the one time I spoke to him, he was of no help.
I finally got the number of the restaurant off of Google and called the manager and he kept saying that he'll do the needful but never did. Absolutely lax and not helpful.
After calling the manager several times, I finally got the account manager's number who promised to look into the matter and then totally denied that the transaction was ever made when the entire amount had been deducted from my account. After providing him with my account number, a pic of my bill and the transaction slip. I gave him time till 15. 00 today to get back to me with an update. He has since refused to take my calls.
Irresponsible, rude and uncooperative staff. They have still not refunded my money. Close to a month (July 28th) has passed since my visit to that restaurant.
I would not recommend this specific branch of Socials to anyone. They give you bad service, steal your money and don't give it back. Not worth visiting at all....

My recent visit to Social Restaurant, booked through Zomato, left me thoroughly disappointed and feeling misled. Upon booking, Zomato promised a tempting 20% discount, which unfortunately turned out to be nothing more than a hollow promise when it came time to settle the bill. This misleading offer was the first strike against what should have been an enjoyable dining experience.
Adding insult to injury, Social Restaurant imposed a hefty 10% service charge, despite my insistence that such charges are not legally enforceable as per government regulations. Their refusal to adjust this fee only compounded my dissatisfaction. While the service itself was commendable, the quality of the food did not justify its high prices.
The whole experience felt like a scheme to lure customers with false promises of discounts, only to disappoint them at the crucial moment of payment. It's disappointing that both Zomato and Social Restaurant engage in such practices, as they erode trust and detract from what should have been a pleasant outing.
In conclusion, while the service at Social Restaurant was good, the food quality did not meet expectations relative to its cost. Moreover, the failure to honor the promised discount and the unjustifiable service charge leave me hesitant to recommend this establishment to others. I hope both Zomato and Social Restaurant take steps to rectify such misleading practices in the future to uphold their credibility...
