We stopped by Subway in the Oberoi Mall food court for a lighter, healthier bite and opted for a customized salad with paneer, topped with honey mustard and chilli dressing. The experience was fresh, quick, and satisfying.

The staff at this outlet were polite and efficient. They took time to ask for preferences on veggies, dressings, and spice levels – which is always a plus at Subway. Everything looked fresh and well-stocked behind the counter.

The paneer was soft and mildly spiced, grilled just right. It added a good amount of protein and texture to the salad. We chose a mix of fresh veggies – lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives – and they all tasted crisp and clean.

The real winner, though, was the combination of honey mustard and chilli dressing. It gave the salad a balanced flavor – sweet and tangy with just the right kick of heat. It elevated the whole bowl and made it far more enjoyable than your average salad.

Portion size was generous, making it a good value for money, especially if you’re looking for something healthy in a food court full of heavier options.

I had a disappointing experience at this outlet. I specifically asked if I could have different stuffing in each half of my footlong (aloo patty + paneer), and the server, Kaushal, confirmed it was possible. However, at billing, I was suddenly charged ₹580 — saying I was billed for two separate 6-inch subs, without informing me in advance. This felt misleading and dishonest.

To add to this, there was a visible offer at the counter: Buy 2 Subs, get a cookie free. But instead of giving the cookie, he silently added it to the bill. When I questioned it, he casually asked, “Should I give it?”

This kind of subtle, deceptive behavior — first miscommunicating the pricing, then charging for a cookie included in an offer but not providing it — is unacceptable. It reflects poorly on the brand. Subway should take strict action and train staff better to maintain transparency and trust.

The outlet is inside the Oberoi Mall so the ambiance of the restaurant is taken care by the mall authorities as the restaurant is situated in the food court. The seating section is humongous and can cater to all kinds of customers.

The menu has the standard list of dishes which you'll get to see across Mumbai.

The taste of the sandwich felt different surprisingly as everything appeared similar to the standard Subway outlet. The bread and the sauces didn't taste the way it does and that's in the bad way. The sandwich felt tasteless which hasn't happened at any other outlet.

The quantity, quality and pricing was all decent.
