The ambiance is really classy because of the selection of lighting & different types of seating arranged in systematic manner. The place is decorated perfectly with little elements which sets a nice theme. Visited here on a week day, but the place was crowded.
Mr.Prakash made our experience really good & knows the menu really well & gave us good suggestions. The service was nice & the staff was really friendly.
The menu is specialised in serving European, Chinese & so on. Went here for 'The Burger Festival' & the set menu for the festival is really good. The veg & non veg dishes are perfectly balanced. The quantity & quality of the food is good. Price wise its worth it.

Read moreCouple of days back I watched Highway On My Plate where they recommended Olive Bistro of Hyderabad for Sunday brunch. While I haven’t been there but Olive Bistro recently opened in Oberoi Mall, Mumbai and we visited the place for a Sunday lunch after watching a morning show movie.
Ambiance:
The first thing you notice just as you enter the restaurant is maverick ambiance. Be it the saucers clad chandelier or a black VW van with random scribbling or wood framed menu – the restaurant shouts “maverick”. Even though it is in the mall, the glass walls ensured abundant natural lightening during day time which gave the overall ambiance a very fresh feel.
Food:
We ordered Eggs Florentine, Mild Cheddar, Corn & Jalapeño Croquettes and an All Veg Pizza. One thing which stood out was the plating which was very innovative. Full marks to chef for that. As we placed the order, we were served some schezwan style chutney in a stone vessel along with some bread. Eggs Florentine was simply brilliant. Eggs were poached to perfection and hollandaise tasted exquisite. Muffin base completed the dish perfectly. Mild cheddar, Corn & Jalapeño Croquettes was good. However, with such delicious appetizers, they were expected to push the paddle with the main course but that’s when they sort of applied the brakes. With them pulling off complicated recipes like Eggs Florentine, a decent pizza should have been a cake walk. However, pizza was disappointing as the veggies did not look fresh and were a little off taste. On top of that, we had to settle for maida (all-purpose flour) base, as wheat base was not available. Overall, they nailed the starters perfectly but looks like they need to work on main course.
Service:
Service was excellent. The food arrived very much in time and the staff was very courteous. What we also loved was the kind of arrangement they had for kids with a stroller for toddlers and a small chair with table and chalk for the kids where they can scribble anything.
All in all, Olive Bistro provides excellent food. However, I won’t call it value for money, given their rates which are...
