We recently visited this place on a Saturday night. I had planned my father's birthday dinner here and the overall experience was okayish😐.

We ordered Khichiya Masala Papad, Kebab-e-Murgh, Raan-e-Kangan and Radhuni Tandoori Macchi for starters. Raan takes 40 minutes to be prepared, and we were informed about that clearly before the order was placed. We got the Khichiya Masala Papad☹️ in 10 minutes of placing the order and that was disappointing. The masala was good, but the idea of placing it on a Khichiya Papad was not so great. It was tough to break it, and it went soggy pretty quickly. The Kebab-e-Murgh😀 was good, it is the best option if you are not looking for something spicy. The Radhuni Tandoori Macchi🙂 was good and its masala was tasty. It could have been better if their masala did not overpower the taste of the fish itself. The Raan-e-Kangan😭 was the worst dish of the evening for us. After patiently waiting for 45 minutes in excitement of a Chef's special dish, it was a huge let-down. The mutton was not at all tender and could have been cooked better. The masala was really good, but it was limited to the outer layer of the Raan. It had not seeped into the meat at all, and it tasted absolutely bland from inside.

For main course, we ordered Murgh Baradari and Gosht Beliram. Murgh Baradari❤️ tasted superb and it is a must try if you are visiting this restaurant. Its gravy was thick and had an amazing creaminess with all the right spices! Gosht Beliram😍 was also good and simple. The muttom was cooked to perfection and the gravy had a good subtle taste.

For desserts, we ordered Bharwaan Gulab Jamun🙂. It was served warm and was tasty. Although, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that they served 3 pieces in a serving. Being a restaurant of Indian cuisine, I do not know from where they have got this idea of serving a sweet dish in a quantity of 3 pieces.

Coming to the drawbacks, the service was extremely slow⏳. It took half an hour for our first starter (I don't count Masala Papad in that category) to arrive at our table😐. It was so late that within 5 minutes, even the Raan was ready! The Raan😡 was a huge let-down and nobody can expect that quality of a dish being served in a 5-star restaurant. I would have even returned it if not for my father's birthday. I had informed them prior about the birthday celebration and they had told me that they would serve a complementary pastry for the birthday celebration. Not that I needed it anyways, but they did not even ask about it during my meal. The lighting of this whole property is bizarre. I get the mood lighting and all, but this place just does not give a good impression when you enter it. I am sure they gave it a lot of thought, but it is definitely on the darker side.

When you visit a fine dining restaurant in a 5-star property, you have certain expectations from the place. This restaurant neither justified the expectations tag, nor did it justify the costly pricing. I would say if you are looking for a special occasion to be celebrated here, you should probably look for other fine dining options. In a city like Mumbai, there would be far better...

Hotel Westin hotel" in goregaon east "I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Westin hotel branch in Goregaon east branch , and it was an outstanding experience. The restaurant's decor and lighting create a perfect blend of elegance and comfort, making it an ideal spot for a memorable meal. Now, let's talk about the food. The culinary journey at Westin hotel is nothing short of delightful. The menu offers a fusion of flavors that truly tantalize the taste buds. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. One dish that left a lasting impression was GONDHORAJ JHEENGA AND RADHUNI TANDURI MACHHI which was a harmonious fusion of flavors and textures, and an absolute must-try. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, and it's clear that the chefs are passionate about their craft. The service was impeccable, with a staff that was attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with recommendations. It added to the overall dining experience. Located within a prestigious Five-star hotel, Kangan offers a culinary experience that tantalizes the taste buds, albeit with room for improvement in its ambience.

Ambience: While the restaurant boasts a captivating view, the ambience falls short of expectations. With its basic setup, it fails to deliver the luxurious feel one anticipates from such a venue. A makeover is warranted to match the quality of the cuisine.

Food Highlights: The Amritsari Kulcha stands out as a must-try, delivering a tantalizing blend of spice and flavor that delights the palate. The Dahi Ke Kebab shines as the standout starter, offering a burst of delectable taste.

However, the Firdausi Bharwan Aloo falls short, lacking the requisite spice and flavor expected from such a dish.

In the realm of main courses, the Diwani Handi emerges as a must-have, boasting a delightful blend of flavors that leave a lasting impression. The Paneer Lababdar, while presenting an average taste, excels in texture, setting a new standard for paneer dishes.

For those with a sweet tooth, indulge in the Balai Ka Tukda-a dessert that promises to leave a lasting impression and round off your culinary journey on a high note.

Overall Experience: While the culinary journey at Kangan is commendable, efforts are needed to elevate the ambience to match the quality of the cuisine. With its delectable offerings and stunning view, Kangan has the potential to provide a truly unforgettable dining experience with a few...

The ongoing food festival called "Pind Da Swaad" at Westin Garden Goregaon, curated by Chef Sweety Singh is a must try . The festival started on June 16th and ends on June 24th, with a daily menu change. The festival offers a homestyle menu with dishes that are easy on spices but rich in texture, providing a balanced flavor. Chef Sweety Singh hails from Amritsar, known for its vibrant Punjabi cuisine. The menu includes popular Punjabi dishes like Pindi Chole, Rajma, Kadi, Kebabs, Chaat, and a variety of non-vegetarian options and much much more. Additionally, there are home-style mithai (Indian sweets) available. Overall, the festival aims to transport you to the streets of Punjab with its authentic flavors. It is a part of the regular menu/buffet served at Westin Garden Goregaon, and the invitation is extended to visitors to come and enjoy the Pind ka Swaad. If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to visit the Westin Garden Goregaon and experience the festival Thanks chef #Hosted Thanks and Kudos to Team Westin for the amazing evening Till we meet again Cheers

Kangan is on the 18th floor and has a stunning view of the expressway. Not just that, the ambiance is cozy, candle lit, warm and elegant. The food here is outstanding. If you love Mughlai and North Indian, then you must visit them. They have recently launched a new menu and the dishes are excellent. We tried the set menu which had Tamatar Tulsi Shorba Appetizer platter which had Bhune Masaley Ka Paneer Tikka, Tohfa-e-Zamin, Bhatti Ke Badami Aloo and Moong Dal Bhari Tikki. Everything was delicious. Our favourite was the paneer. For Mains we had Kangan Masaley Ka Paneer, Diwani Handi, Purvanchal Ka Saag, Lucknowi Dum Aloo, Dal Kangan and Lucknowi Subz Dum Biryani. We loved the dum aloo, saag, dal, biryani and everything else. Dessert was gulab jamun and kulfi.. so good! Besides this we tried the paneer lababdaar and whole-wheat Rumali..it was fantastic. Overall a fantastic meal and definitely going back to try the new menu.
