Hunky Dory is located inside Lemon Tree Premier Malad West and it is easy to find.
The restaurant is spacious with a mini and a full sized bar. The ambiance is super bright with tribal decor touch. Loved the colours used everywhere and every corner looks really beautiful. The seatings are arranged nicely and options for all size of groups are available. They also have DJ section and a dedicated space for live events.
The menu contains global dishes with sone traditional Indian food being available too. Loved the menu as you get everything from sushi to chicken tikka is available in their menu. Prices are at par with similar type of brands and the quantity served is nice. Also they do run dining offers so check online before visiting.
We went here for late lunch and kitchen service was decent but table service was haywire as the staff was super confused as they were booked for a private party at 6PM so I think they were under immense pressure as they kept on switching dishes on different tables. However staff Sandeep tried his best to make the table service smooth.
What We Had - APPETISERS~ Butter Paneer Potli - Butter paneer stuffed in a potli, fried to perfection but not oily, and served with a makhani dip. What I liked most was that it wasn’t sweet, the flavors of spices and onions really stood out, making the dish taste perfect.
Herb Crusted Truffle Parmesan Chicken Tikka - One of the classy version of chicken tikka which tasted amazing. Perfectly grilled juicy chicken done in green spices topped with cheese with light truffle oil and with walnuts on the top tasted perfect. Everything in this tasted superb and you should definitely try this.
Golden Prawn Tempura Roll - Again one of the best sushi experiences. Their portion is 5 pieces so you will definitely crave more. Crunchy tempura, fresh prawns, spicy sauce and everything in this sushi was perfect.
MAINS~ Wild Mushroom & Truffle Cacio E Pepe - Man. This was one of the best pasta I have ever had. Earthy flavours due to mushrooms and truffle oil. Perfectly done spaghetti with crunchy veggies and the watery cheese sauce was outstanding. Try it to believe it.
Prawn Ghee Pepper Roast with Tadka Lemon Coriander Rice - Fresh prawns in ghee roast gravy tasted good. The rice went nicely however I am not a fan of whole coriander hence full marks for gravy.
DESSERT~ Slow Baked Chocolate Bar - This wasn’t that great as the chocolate used was not that tasty.
MOCKTAILS~ Black & Yellow. Tropical Delight. Both the drinks had perfect taste.
So our meal at Hunky Dory Malad was really good. Leaving the service, the food, ambience and music played was perfect. Therefore...
Read moreThis is the place in Malad West (Link road) near Joey's Pizza. The place is really awesome talking about the music, the live music, the ambience and the service of the staff. This has been a wonderful experience for me. The two things of which I was unhappy is the place was a bit small, like when you enter there are around 8-10 tables out of which 1-2 big tables for groups, The other thing was when you browse the menu there are many items which were added for Halloween which is still there and it is not available. When you decide and then you go for an order at that time they will update you it is not available, it was only for Halloween. So, I will suggest either to remove or just update the customer before they decide on menu. From the menu we tried :
Virgin Mojito Rs. 175- It tasted just like any other restaurant, if you really want to try you can. But there wasn't anything special.
Pan Flavoured Lit Rs. 550 - It consist of PAN 🌿 leaf and mint 🍀 leaf in it, 🍋 lemon 🥤 juice made in soda. With the top first layer will be made of egg white, you shall definitely try. It does not taste like an egg white they stir it so well that it feels like a milk. You can try it.
The smokey dorey Rs. 475 - It's a whiskey based cocktail with a strong whiskey taste. If you don't prefer hard drinks then you can try this 🍹 cocktail for sure.
Truffle Mushroom Galouti Rs. 490: So this just a kebab with smashed 🍄 mushroom filled in it. Served with green chutney and onion. It seems just like Hara bhara kebab but taste differently.
Chicken in chilli basil sauce Rs. 490: So it's a stir fried boneless chicken made in Chinese style with a basil mixed in it. So you can have the taste of basil as well along with it.
Sticky 🍗 chicken wings with BBQ sauce Rs. 525: 🔥 Spicy chicken wings with a strong thick layer of sauces.
Tatya Vinchu Nacho Rs. 365 : So this was something that I did not like much. So just a simple nacho served with a mint sauce. Almost eeryone must have tried a better nachos than this.
Hyderabadi chicken Biryani Rs. 450 -So this is something I'll recommend you try in the main course. The Indian spices used the taste of it. It was commendable. It is served with raita and 🧅 onion.
Veg fried 🍚 rice and veg hakka 🍜 noodles : If you want to try something in chinese for the main course you must try this. The quantity is enough to serve 2 people and the taste will not disappoint you. It does justice for the price of Rs. 399 for noodles and Rs....

Service The service at The Hunky Dory is exemplary. Our server was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and attentive without being overbearing. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured that our glasses were never empty.
Food The menu at The Hunky Dory is a culinary adventure. We started with the truffle mushroom cream cheese dim sum & Truffle avocado cream cheese, which were perfectly cheesy & creamy. For the main course, the Noodle blow with wok tossed vegetables was cooked to perfection—flaky, tender, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying vegetable medley was fresh and vibrant, adding a delightful crunch.
The dessert, 'Pull me up' Tres Leches, was a beautiful end to the meal—rich and decadent yet light.
Drinks The cocktail menu is equally impressive. We sampled the Mango Mule & Not a G&T, a refreshing blend of Soda, ginger, and a hint of lime, which was both fruity and perfectly balanced.
Price While The Hunky Dory is on the pricier side, the quality of the food and the overall experience justify the cost.
