Only Parathas - you can literally call it - Punjab in Mumbai - is located at Khar next to AND showroom . They have live counters of chaats , lassi , falooda , bhatura etc being made right in front of you at the entry path way which leads you to two different sections - the alfresco seating & the AC section which you can choose as per your comfort .
The ambiance is very classy with bright lights & comfortable seating .
I have to mention - the menu is extensive with amply varieties of assorted parathas to choose from . Beverages , chinese , biryani , Indian breads , tandoori starters , mains , chaats , desserts - you are simply spoilt for choice .
This is a Pure Vegetarian restaurant serving top notch quality food which will make you come back again & again . Also the service is flawless & highly professional .
We tried the paani puri & aalu tokri chaat which were exceptional in taste , flavour quality & portion size . 100% value for money !
Next we tired the chole bhature served with typical Amritsari style pickle & onions .The uber soft bhature simply melt in your mouth . The food is stellar in all respect .
For the desserts we tried the piping hot jalebi's made fresh from scratch served with rabdi along with kulfi . Again I'm short of words to describe the jaw dropping experience which was simply memorable .
I can only say if you are looking to host parties , get togethers or wish to spend quality time with your friends & family in the company of outstanding food & service then a visit to Only Parathas is...
Read moreThe food was excellent..but only one problem The paratha meals were supposed to serve 4 different types of parathas in a single serve dish... but alas all the four pieces were of the same flavor...we ordered 3 different types of paratha meals but each had only a single flavor served instead of 4.the rice was served late inspite of asking them to serve it twice!and that was also undercooked..the staff was less experienced this time I guessed..they repeatedly made mistakes...the service was slower as expected on a Sunday.. but our table of 16 got the slowest possible service it seems ... the best was kept for the last... The finger bowls were served with chilled water ..one of the waiters reasoned with us that they had kept warm water but it cooled off..." hey we can understand cooling off ,but I don't think we are fools to think that the water chilled off itself .."another waiter said "we are having water supply problems hence the chilled water..". Yaar they have a kitchen with gas supplies and stoves ,how much time would it have taken to warm up the water a bit???? The manager after repeated requests appeared in front of us..(.appeared drunk ) and was unapologetic at first but the acted smart as if he's the one who was doing us a favour . After visiting #ONLYPARATHAS for so many times over the last few years this was the only time we've been disappointed...hope this doesn't...
Read morei was at breach candy hospital. Searched on the google locals while in mumbai for good parathas. reached there and found that we will be accommodated on ground floor as the upper floors where they serve parathas to be full. we did not mind as it was a/c. we were greeted at the door by a sardarji and were sure parathas would be good.
there are almost 400 types of parathas on menu. all parathas at around 200 rupees and above. we ordered 2 plates. when the parathas arrived we quietly ate and left never to look back. the guy is a marketing genius as he knows if he just gives parathas nobody will buy at 200 rupees, so he come sup with an idea to give dalmakhani and chole with the parathas. Guys imagine being served dalmakhani and chole. Parathas are meant to be so good that one need not be served by other dishes like dalmakhani and chole. Combination is terrible. Apart from that paraths were terrible. Soggy, soft. As if they have been prepared long before in the morning and served by just heating them. Normally paraths should be served with curd and a little bit of green chuttney and maybe aachar. Go and eat if you have lost taste of what parathas need to be. Or stay home ask your ammature cook to make one, he will do a better job. I have attached a bill to my comment so that one knows about my...
