Healthy Treats — Restaurant in Mumbai

After my experience with healthy treats, I do not trust their cakes be it for celebrating birthdays or hosting guests.

Pros: When they get it right, the cakes taste good. I have ordered their cakes 2 times in the past and they were good. It was the 3rd time that changed my opinion.

Cons: Cannot be trusted. I ordered their cakes for my friend's birthday party. The Biscoff cake base was so salty no one could eat it. Horrible customer service I had to call multiple times, send multiple whatsapp messages to get someone from their end to talk to me. When I finally got Divya on the call, she argued for 30 mins that their cakes cannot go bad. I insisted on them collecting the cake leftovers and tasting it. It's been 1 week since they collected the cake for sampling, I haven’t heard back from them. When I am paying a high price for Gourmet cakes, I expect a call back after a complaint. In my case the entire communication was one way. I never received a call or a whatsapp response, let alone an acknowledgement of my complaint.

Here is my experience with Divya’s Healthy Treats: My friends and I have ordered their Biscoff cheesecake 2 times in the past and they have been great. My friend’s birthday was coming up so I reordered the cake. However this time none of my guests could eat more than a bite as the cake base was super salty (yes Salty). This is fine, sometimes things happen. It was the customer experience that followed that led to writing this 1 star review. I called and spoke to the assistant on Sunday explaining the saltiness, she said she will speak to Divya and get back to me shortly. I did not hear back. I called back on Monday, they had no idea about my complaint and I had to re-explain my experience. I insisted they take back my cake and sample it themselves. Their delivery man came, dropped off a small jar of another Biscoff cake (less than half the size of the original cake) and left. They did not collect the original cake. I called back again and spoke to Divya. She argued for 30 mins about how their cakes can never go bad or never be salty. I still insisted for them to collect the original salty cake and taste it themselves. Finally they agreed and collected the cake. It’s been a week since then and I have not heard back from them. I finally called them after a week and they said that a small cake Jar compensates for the cake that I sent back.

Overall I found the experience super low key. If a customer has to call multiple times, send multiple whatsapp messages, describe their problem multiple times to 3 different people, wait for days/week and not hear back from you; you are not doing Gourmet Cake...

An important family occasion was completely ruined & messed up bigtime, when I had placed an order for a cake from @ Divya Healthy treats. We had a family function on 22nd April @ Pune, for which I had booked a cake through their portal on 19th April & selected the delivery time slot.

In spite of this on 22nd, there was no update about the delivery status on their portal. I then tried contacting them multiple times with no response from their end. finally, I got connected with Afreen from their team, she was so casual with her attitude & tried giving lame excuses for the delay & said at best the order will be delivered by 7 pm & not before that.

The order was supposed to be delivered @ 12 pm but was not dispatched till 2 pm from their Mumbai outlet.

They passed the buck on bluedart for failing to collect my order & this was not communicated to us till the end. If they were professional enough then they should have promptly informed me about the courier issue & could have given me an option to cancel the order at best.

They still committed & assured me that the parcel will be delivered by 7 pm & it was later sent via the Mum- Pune taxi services. I was given the receipt by their staff & was told to track the status.

Post 7, the parcel was still undelivered & I called up the number on the receipt & was shocked, stunned with the reply I got from the person on phone that the parcel will be dropped @Pune taxi service office & dis had 2 be collected from our end else after 3 hours it would be discarded.

Tried calling them but to no avail & finally, Hitesh called me back post 8 pm & finally apologized for the mess up but by then it was too late. He still assured me that he will get the cake delivered ASAP & I still knew they would fail to deliver it. I waited till 9:40 pm & finally decided to call up Hitesh & canceled my order.

Even a local cake shop would be able to handle their logistics better than them. I had 2 highlight dis so that ppl r made aware of how they manage the orders. Just a word of advice if you'll still want to place the order from here then do it @ your own risk as they have an "I don't care attitude towards the customer". Do...

I ordered a cake to be delivered to my Mom and Grandmom for Mother's Day on Sunday, as I am in Dubai and they're in Mumbai (We celebrated Mother's Day on 22nd March in the UAE). I paid online on Zomato for the cake and the delivery fees obviously (Rs. 1650) and ordered a Strawberry Pistachio cake. Please note that I made this order from overseas, believing that I was having something special and different delivered to my Mom on this day when I could not be with her. Given the curfew, she was contacted and asked if they could deliver the following day, which was fine and she said that was ok. The next day, they delivered a dark chocolate and strawberry cake to her (on their own will) which costs lesser (also note that she is not a fan of chocolate which is why I did not select a chocolate based cake in the first place). When she called to complain, they said they could not refund the difference and they had sent that as they had run out of pistachios! However after a discussion, they apparently went to buy pistachios and freshly baked another cake for her and delivered it after a couple of hours. Now this cake was undercooked!! When my Mom called Divya the owner this morning to complain about this, she was rude and highly uncooperative, refused to process a refund or give a replacement. Asked her to bake it herself if she had an oven, as she would do the same if she took it back and return the cut, re-baked cake. She was extremely rude to my mother and hung up on her saying I dont want to hear any of this. A hugely disappointing experience on the whole.
