Sun Moon & Potatoes — Restaurant in Mumbai

This is one of the most under rated restaurant In Malad west or even in Mumbai I feel. This restaurant is so incredibly good yet not much of people is talking about. Its a small place but its like a powerhouse packed in here. I can’t even began to talk about their food that how scrumptious it was. I ordered Chicken wrapped Prawns soaked in barbecue sauce.It was rich in texture moist on the outside crunchy on the inside.I loved the concept so much I actually wanted meet the chef “Raju Guriya” and congratulate him ..well that never happened because it was a busy day. Then I ordered a sizzler Roast Chicken with rosemary sauce this was another heavenly experience. The chicken was little spicy and peppery very well marinated with the rosemary sauce.. the vegetables were crispy and it was presented very well.

The price was very moderate not very expensive ..1000/- for two people roughly They have only two outlets in Mumbai right now but I wish them all the best for the future. Place shuts half an hour early than the said time on listings. Waiter rudely asks to step out saying the staff needs to eat on the same tables since there's no canteen area. These management problems aren't to be blamed upon customers.

Place does not allow laptops or work. The staff shouts if you do so and asks you to shut it saying the management doesn't allow for laptops. This is the state of the place in 2021, during the remote work era.

Food is ehh okay. Nothing too great. Staff is always vigilant to see what you are doing for no reason.

Extremely unprofessional behaviour for a place that hardly gets...

My wife and I, we both have been a regular customer of SMP. We have been to the place on multiple occasions and we have called for it at home as well. We prefer dining rather than take away or ordering. This place has been more than consistent with their dishes for years now. The quantity is humungous and very generous. Yes they have their good days and bad days with regards to taste with certain dishes but we love going back giving it another shot. The cheesy chowder soup is our all time favourite and there have been occasions where we've just had soups and sides and it was extremely satisfying....
