Read moreBhogals Cholle Bhature is a very famous street food stop among all the food lovers. This place is located in Connaught Place. Bhogals is opened in Delhi for more than 60 years and still is one of the most demanding street food shops of Delhi . I always wanted to taste the real Delhi style Cholle Bhature and here we landed into famous "Bhogals".
Bhogals offers a variety of dishes with its speciality in Cholle Bhature and Cholle Kulche. Aloo Paratha and Cholle chawal are also served here. Two types of Cholle are served here. One with the gravy, in which are Palak Kofta, potatoes and beautifully cooked Cholle and is served with Bhature. The gravy type Cholle is very special because of a bit of tanginess provided by Kachalu ka Achar along with the spices. While the other one is served dry. It contained meshed Cholle, meshed potatoes, spices and fresh green chillies and lemon at the top to finish it up. Kulchas are served with it. Garnishing elements are green fresh coriander and sprinkled chat masala which adds it own flavour to give Cholle a new high. Dried cholle was very tasty and chatpati which freshened my mouth. Cholle with gravy was very delicious in its own way with addition of Palak Kofta to it.
Best part were Bhature and Kulcha. I have never eaten such soft and crunchy Bhature ever in my life. Bhature are brought into shape by hands and not rolled, which again is the famous way of making it. Almost all of Delhi's street food Cholle Bhature vendors uses this method only. Bhature are fried in a Tawa but at the service you will not observe any oil dripping off from the Bhature unlike the others, which I found it best. Kulcha too was very good in taste. To be honest, I liked Bhature the most.
Bhogals is a must try place for all those who have not...
Read moreI recently visited Bhogal Cholle-Bhature Walla and had the opportunity to taste their famous Chole Bhature. Overall, I had a good experience with some notable aspects to consider.
Let's start with the highlight—the taste. The Chole Bhature at Bhogal Cholle-Bhature Walla had a nice flavor. The chole had a decent amount of spices, offering a well-balanced taste. The bhature, though not mentioned specifically, were fluffy and adequately cooked. They were soft on the inside with a slightly crispy texture on the outside. The combination of chole and bhature worked well together, and it was a satisfying meal.
However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. Firstly, the location and overall ambiance of the restaurant could be better managed. Depending on the specific location, it might be congested or lack adequate seating arrangements, which can affect the overall dining experience. It would be more enjoyable if they could enhance the dining environment.
Despite this, if you are primarily focused on the food itself, Bhogal Cholle-Bhature Walla is worth a try. The taste of their Chole Bhature is nice and satisfying, making it a decent option for Cholle Bhature enthusiasts. Just be prepared for a potentially crowded or less-than-ideal...
