Disappointing Experience at My Bar

We had high hopes for our Diwali party at My Bar, having booked well in advance. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of expectations.

The food tasting two days prior to the event was a disaster. The initial food served was inedible, prompting us to escalate the issue to the Chef. Even the second attempt at preparing the food wasn't impressive.

On the day of our party, scheduled to begin at 12 PM, the venue wasn't prepared. Lights were not set, and the overall setup was delayed by a whole hour, leaving us and our guests waiting. Despite assurances, basic arrangements such as dusting, and table setup were overlooked when our HR team arrived early at 11:00 AM for a venue check.

Moreover, the promise of selection in liquor was initially denied until we showed evidence from our email conversations. Snacks, which were assured to be served at tables, suddenly turned into a self-service arrangement, catching us off guard. The professionalism of My Bar's waiters was severely lacking. They provided ice and drinks separately, leaving guests to mix their own drinks.

The lack of attention to detail was evident, especially from Mr. Akram, who seemed disinterested and unprofessional throughout. The only saving grace was the quality of the food, which managed to salvage what could have been a complete disaster for our office party.

In conclusion, while the food was satisfactory, the overall experience was marred by unpreparedness, unprofessionalism, and broken promises. We expected much better service and attention to detail, especially considering the early booking and assurances given prior to the event.
