Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters | Khan Market — Restaurant in New Delhi

Like most places in Khan Market, this place is small and multi-storied. I can’t speak to the quality of the food here; the focus is strongly on the coffee. I’ve had their pour over coffee (hot) on a previous visit, and it was bright and clean tasting. Photographed are an iced americano, which was super strong, and a Vietnamese iced coffee, which I had heard good things about, but it tasted very diluted. There’s a good reason most chain coffee stores serve iced coffee drinks with two shots of espresso at a minimum, since any additional milk can combine with the water from the melting ice to make a pretty weak drink. If you’re used to getting a venti starbucks, their drink size will seem shockingly small. That being said, the staff here knows their stuff. They’re personable and happy to help you figure out the menu. They also sell all manner of coffee brewing equipment and coffee beans in-store, which is nice. If you’re thinking about bringing your laptop to work here, don’t. It doesn’t seem to be a place set up for working or having meetings. It’s pretty loud and super cramped. Very bad. Trying to make fancy food but they do not want to actually put the fancy ingredient in the food. You could call it false advertisement. Order came in very small portions and is not as described on the menu: Super veg wrap that was supposed to come with broccoli, avocado and babba ganush was instead stuffed with capsicum and there was maybe as much avocado in it as fits on the tip of a knife. Chicken burger was totally dry, was supposed to come with goat cheese too, none of that was visible or tastable (well, there were a few tiny white bits, maybe that was supposed to be the cheese? too little of it to actually tell). It was seriously just a few pieces of cut up chicken, a sprinkle of onion, one wet lettuce leave and no sauce or anything. Even after giving back our order and asking for correction, we received another low quality meal. But by that point we were to hungry to argue. I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience kind of ruined our day. Coffee is okay I guess. But avoid food...

So where should I start first I want to let everyone know that I went there in the morning. Not that crowded. I like the ambience of the place. However I ordered 2 coffee and it was pathetic. I mean they gave us date syrup which was sugar syrup to add. I wanted to have some cold coffee or iced coffee so ordered iced cappuccino. It was like they added pinch of coffee in water so that the water can change the colour. That’s all. I mean I cannot even explain how bad it tasted. I was adding sugar syrup back on back, but it didn't change the taste good. Then I order peri peri grilled cottage cheese sandwich which they gave w potato chip the one we eat in fast 🤦🏻‍♀️ Then parsley garlic cheese fries somehow, they tasted better than the rest because it had garlic on it. It was quite hard to bite but I managed to eat.
