Cafe High 5 — Restaurant in New Delhi

From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home.

Pretext: I saw a lot of negative reviews here and the only reply that "we'll provide you better service next time" from the restaurant. Arey bhai, bure experience ke baad firse kyu aayega koi 😂

The Issue: The hospitality was good... Until I told them that I'll be paying via dineout. The waiters are chaalu- before my placing of the order, they ask how I'll make the payment - Bhai dekhne toh do menu- mujhe tumhari saari tactics pata Hain. (No etiquettes or concern).

Value: The food was not good. They charge anything for anything!! I mean a soda bottle (MRP 20) for 90 rupees (then taxes on top of this) only for a drink!! I mean, don't beg for money - every other bar provides soda for free...

Experience: The manager had interacted with me while I was eating and although I would have generally liked it if it were genuine, this one was not a friendly encounter. After the bill presentation, he said "dineout se nahi guzara hota - staff, ambience etc.etc. but koina" - ye sunte hi I decided to write a long, honest, genuine, a-slap-in-the-face review here. When I told him that it's his choice to put the restaurant on dineout and he could opt out of it if it isn't profitable for him, he says "aap kaafi research karke aaye ho". Bina research ke hum ghuste hi nahi bhai.

Overall: Anyway, that isn't the right, expected behaviour with a customer. And I genuinely feel that I made a mistake I ever set foot in this restaurant. I hope this reply gets many views and the restaurant either buckles up or...

The food is awful, and the chef has no clue what he/she is doing. You order Tandoori items, and you'll get tiny, burnt chickens. The pasta is like Maggi noodles drowning in sauce. The pizza has creamy cheese, which pulls alright, but tastes horrid.

Most importantly, please beware of the server named "Kajal", because she will not understand what you are placing an order for, and even if the item isn't on the menu, she will get you something not even close to what you ordered.

The atmosphere is poor, the seating cheap, and God only knows how the place got 5 star reviews. Personally, I would neither go there myself, nor suggest anyone to go there.

Another point of note is that any promotions on Zomato Gold/Dineout/ any other app is not applicable on the entire menu, and the servers will argue with you as if they own the place. It seems the management is either inexperienced or simply doesn't care what kind of an experience their customers get.
