I usually donât write restaurant reviews but an incident made me pen down a review for this restaurant.
Read this review before you take a decision to take your loved ones here for some quintessential family/friends time.
This place is a disgrace in the name of Rajasthani culture and hospitality as it totally fails to implement what they preach âPadharo Mhare Desâ. Iâll explain why I started with such a strong remark.
Iâve been to a few Rajasthani Thali restaurants across India including Ghoomar and Rajdhani and many more local restaurants in Rajasthan but here no one really greets you with a smile once to enter the restaurant or while youâre taken to your table.
The staff and servers hardly have any smile on their face and if you ask them what youâre being served, they show no interest to answer your curiosity about Rajasthani dishes.
The food is just average compared to other competitors in the market(they served Bengali Rasgulla is a Rajasthani thali for real).
The worst part is the condescending behaviour one of the old managers they have. While we were paying the bill and asking the waiter to come check the payment status, this old manager just thumps on my chair a few times while I am sitting on it and directs us to leave since other guests are waiting. I felt as we have come for free food at a food donation drive.
I understand other guests might be waiting and I would not want to make them wait but there is a way to ask(not direct) your guests(mehman) to spare the table for waiting guests but thumping my chair repeatedly isnât the way.
Anyways, we got up and I went close to him and asked to be more polite next time and now he had the audacity to not apologise but argue that he wasnât being rude or impolite.
I replied, you would not understand, thank you and left.
I am sure all people reading this will agree that Rajastani culture emphasises on the basic principle of âone should see off our guests respectfullyâ.
If youâre coming here with an expectation of Rajasthani culture and hospitality, you may get disappointed like we did. A lot of places serve vegetarian food but Rajasthani food and culture is incomplete without its principals of hospitality.
Choice is yours....
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ranisa, I was very impressed with the food, the service, and the ambience.
The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Rajasthani thali, which is a generous platter of rice, roti, dal, vegetables, and sweets. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were incredible.
The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were always happy to make recommendations. They also took the time to explain the dishes to me, which was helpful as I was not familiar with Rajasthani cuisine.
The ambience at Ranisa is also very nice. The restaurant is decorated in a traditional Rajasthani style, with colorful murals and intricate woodwork. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely meal.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Ranisa. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambience was perfect. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Delhi.
Here are some specific things I liked about Ranisa:
The food was authentic and flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly. The ambience was warm and inviting. The prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend...
Read moreI recently visited Ranisa and was extremely disappointed with how the waiting experience was managed. There was a long queue of customers, yet absolutely no basic arrangements for those waiting. No seating, no fan, no drinking water, and to make matters worse â customers were being forced to wait outside in the heat, even though there was enough room to stand on the side inside.
The guard was outright rude and dismissive, asking people to leave the shaded area while the manager â who was taking down names â remained comfortably seated inside in the AC. If customers are expected to wait for 30â45 minutes or more, the least the restaurant can do is provide a humane and respectful waiting setup. Even a basic fan or drinking water would make a difference.
If the manager expects customers to be made to wait outside in harsh conditions, perhaps he too should step outside and experience it firsthand. Hospitality isnât just about good food â it starts the moment someone arrives.
Disappointed by the lack of courtesy and customer consideration. Definitely needs better crowd management and basic hospitality...
