Beer Cafe is a once in a lifetime experience!! You get to know from friends that "It's great..they have "Beer Tower", "Beer Tank" etc" and you get curious and decide that you will definitely visit this place. You go..you find the ambiance to be decent..but then the music is loud enough that in a 10 member group, you can't converse with the person at the other end of the table and not good enough to enjoy during those pauses between conversations...
You are happy with the wide variety of beers available in the menu but are a bit bemused to see Dal Makhani in the menu...But then the tower arrives and you get excited!!
If you don't want to drink on that day..then poor you! None of their mocktails except Caribbean Refresh are any good..Now when you start drinking, the place starts losing its charm. If you are a beer lover and want to taste every kind of beer available in the world, then this is good but for everyone else....
You hope the food will be good but trust me you cannot find a single item which you can point and say to your friends.."Hey, try this..this is awesome!" You keep drinking shots after shots of Tequila and Vodka, but if you are still sober enough, you will realize that you have had better alcohol at other places in bigger ambiances at cheaper rates..
The Bill comes out at Rs.25K for 10 people including 3 non drinkers and the drinkers are not even high! We ask for desserts and they say that they don't have any...
The next day, other people ask about the experience exclaiming "I heard it cost you guys 25K".. For a moment, you don't know what to say...then you start "Yaar, it's great! They have "Beer Tower", "Beer Tank" etc.." all the while swearing under your breath that you are not going to visit this place again...As I said, a once in a life time...
Read moreI recently visited The Beer Café at Janpath and had a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff was extremely welcoming and attentive. The service was quick and friendly, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
The food was surprisingly good for a place known for its drinks—crispy appetizers, well-prepared mains, and generous portions. Definitely recommend trying their platters and the loaded nachos!
What truly stood out was the ambience. The vibe is relaxed and modern, with great music and comfortable seating—perfect for hanging out with friends or winding down after a long day. The place strikes a great balance between being lively but not too loud.
If you’re in Connaught Place or near Janpath, The Beer Café is a must-visit for good food, great drinks, and a chill atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!
A special shoutout to kamal singh (server) and floor managers who made our evening seamless and enjoyable. Their positive attitude and attention to detail really elevated the...
Read moreTourist trap. After a whole day of sightseeing, we wanted to have a beer in the evening and decided to go to this place. More than half of the items on the menu were unavailable, so we opted for four small beers in a set. The menu price was 1,495 Indian rupees, but unfortunately, the bill was inflated to almost 2,100. After reporting the issue to the tourist police, we were advised to contact the regular police, which we did. The police arrived and explained to the friendly owner that such practices are unacceptable, and we were let go. Unfortunately, this cost us hours of unpleasant explanations and waiting. The owner also tried to charge us an additional illegal 10% service fee, which is prohibited in India. A friendly policeman explained to the owner that this is not allowed. I do not recommend this place, just like the Hard Rock Cafe next door, where as a tourist, you can't buy beer; you can only purchase alcoholic drinks that contain no alcohol, priced as if they...
