Xero Degrees, Connaught place -
We reached this place for a quick dinner. Since it was about 9:50pm when we reached & the outlet was supposed to close by 11-11:30, we had only planned to have a light dinner.
Due to it being a weekday, we got an immediate entry. First thing I noticed - it's noisy & packed. The songs being played couldn't even drown the cacophony of other people's conversations.
So with half the outlet empty, we had to shift once to sit at the furthest seats from other people (read, from entrance).
With this partially taken care of, we focused on ordering. I wanted to try their famous heart shaped pizza. So we ordered a large (6 pc) variety, one fries (Cheesy fries) & amazingly our budget of 700 was already crossed, but it was hard to imagine this won't be enough. It wasn't!
First of all, the pizza - Chicken Dominator 14" What dominator? Empty pizza? Thin crust & should be 3 times as loaded for this rate Apart from the shape, it had literally nothing going on for it. I can understand the uneven pieces, but at least it was symmetrical, right? NO!!!!!!! POORLY CUT, IRREGULAR CHICKEN PIECES, coupled with cheese too runny to stay on a slice & sliding off from the dry crust.... It was a nightmare of a pizza. 2nd, for a medium pizza costing 450's, you'll expect some decent chicken, right? No, 12 small pieces irregularly distributed (I'm not mad about the irregularity that much, I mean, a simple non veg loaded at Domino's, at 199/- + tax, has more non-veg than this)[Again, just comparing with something most of us might've tasted 🤗🫠]
So the pizza was a disaster for its cost. Fries were average, thank God we ordered nothing fancy like sliders or dessert, just the basic cheesy fries. It was ok, I mean not the greatest, but it's really hard to bungle up on fries, that too, the flavour of which, u hide by a ton of sauces, so average fries is bad!
I wanted to sneak in a cooler somehow, as I wanted my partner to try one. I asked for offers & they agreed to give one cooler for 99/-, but the cooler we both debated & chose, was out of stock. Silly bees, remove it from the menu then. We settled for a peach tea cooler, which tasted dilute. Looking back, if it wasn't a very important discussion we needed to do, I would've blasted the staff for giving such sub-standard food.
So, the famous pic with neon signs at Xero's? In this outlet? Forget it! The sign is very inconveniently located in a very narrow area, sealed by placing plant pots (see pic)
So, was anything worth the 800's we spent here? Not at all. Exceptional waste of money on this outlet! Think three times before going & ordering....
Read moreI love xero degrees but this was the worst xero degrees experience ever. The food was amazing but the staff, I’ve never met ruder people in Restraunt industry. As an individual who is a brand photographer and has worked with multiple restaurants, I’ve met my fair share of rude people in food and hospitality. Heck, I travel somewhere every year so I’ve seen rude people in hotels where I stay, there are rude people everywhere. Not this rude though; I love xero degrees, I frequent the Dehradun, advant noida and noida 104 branch, but what the f did I see today? The other branches I’ve been to are so nice. The M block staff only talked to me and my sis, not my parents, felt extremely ageist. Like i felt embarrassed for suggesting xero degrees to my parents. My sister and dad are over 5’10”, they put us at a seat where there heads were almost in contact with the plants on the wall. Behind us was an inverter and some chest of drawers that was frequented by the staff, continuously interrupting us while we were just trying to have a meal. I was nothing but sweet to the staff member who was serving us, Thinking that it’s a Sunday, and maybe she’s just tired, But I was even more horrified when I saw her, another staff members, trying to rush and clear our small table (Where four of us could barely put a hands But 3 wait staff were clearing it). After clearing the table they tried their best to just somehow have us get up from the table (it was not like rush hour, by the time we ate, the place was half empty). We did request for a seat change in the beginning, but weren’t given one, even when the table got empty. You know how 5 star hotel staff treat toddlers (like they’re mischievous and don’t know anything), that’s how they treated my parents. I’m embarrassed for suggesting this place to my parents let alone anyone else. You should re train the wait staff, starting today. Maybe some classes on behavioural management. I don’t know what the issues were. Was the staff ageist? Did they have issues with our clothes? Or the way we looked? I don’t know and honestly I don’t care. I’m never rude to anyone (even when they’re rude to me); especially in public, I’m sure that neither me nor my parents did anything to deserve that. Have added pictures of how close my sister was to the plants (she had to bend forward) and show you what was behind us that was often...
Read moreInitially me & my friends planned to give 5star rating to zero degrees cuz we loved their fire box platter & coolers but their customer sevice is worst. Please don't go specially zero degrees of cp one atlst if you guys don't want to get insulted by their staff. The thing is today me & my 2friends went to meet up there we ordered chicken white sauce pasta(which we didn't liked at all & asked them to pack so that can giveit to street people) then we ordered fire box(very much liked) & 3coolers(I liked blueberry one the most) then we payed the bill & was enjoying our drinks then suddenly one of their staff members came to us asking if you'd like to order something else so we just said no then he actively asked us to leave so I told him & he definitely saw himself that we are just finishing our coolers but even after I told him the same, just rudely said that there is a queue of customers outside & he literally gave us really rude look of his face & walked through, we immediately left there & u guys won't believe it when we came out there was not a single person for waiting forget about the queue...really really annoyed. Even we didn't get to click any photos there as we left in a hurry cuz of that host or waiter whoever he was rude jerk. I don't recommend at all as there are plenty of other cafes which provide great food & customer service as well. Also, would like to suggest the owner of zero degrees cp that he/she must train their staff the meaning of...
