I recently had the pleasure of dining at May Kitchen in Pondicherry, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The cook at this restaurant is truly talented, and their culinary skills shone through in every dish we ordered.

First and foremost, let me rave about the cold coffee—it was simply the best I've had anywhere. The smoothness of the coffee combined with just the right amount of sweetness was a delightful treat for my taste buds. It left me wanting more even after I had finished my glass.

Next, the nachos and its accompanying sauce were absolutely heavenly. The crispy texture of the nachos paired with the rich and flavorful sauce created a perfect harmony of taste. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, and I couldn't resist reaching for more.

The spicy arrabiata spaghetti pasta was another standout dish. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the spicy arrabiata sauce had just the right amount of kick. Every mouthful was a delightful blend of flavors, leaving me craving for more even though I was already quite full.

In addition to the excellent food, I would also like to extend my appreciation to the owner of the restaurant. Their warm and attentive service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. It was evident that they take pride in their establishment and genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction.

Overall, May Kitchen in Pondicherry is a culinary gem. From the heavenly cold coffee to the mouthwatering nachos and the delicious arrabiata spaghetti pasta, every dish we had was a testament to the skill and passion of the cook. Combined with the warm hospitality of the owner, this restaurant is truly a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful...

A Culinary Oasis in Pondicherry

If you're seeking a gastronomic haven in Pondicherry, look no further than the restaurant - May kitchen & bar. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. The elegant decor sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

The menu is a masterpiece, offering Franko-Tamil Recipes from a French Family Kitchen. Each dish is meticulously crafted, showcasing the culinary prowess of the Chef Mugilan and served by Kannan.

The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who anticipate your every need. I followed the Chef's special recommendations for my special day (Wedding Anniversary) and they made it the best experience for me, my wife and my little one's. Their dedication to hospitality is unparalleled.

As for the food itself, prepare to be dazzled. Every bite is a revelation, bursting with freshness and depth of flavor. Standout dishes include the Gougers (French Cheese Puffs filled with Chicken Ham, Cheese) ; Fish Basilic Sauce (A pairing of fish with herbs and basil based sauce - a must try) and to top it off we finished with Creme Brulee - another must try (blowtorched desert that is feast for both the eyes and taste buds).

This is my second visit here and they have kept the same standards and wonderful hospitality as it was earlier making me crave for more visits in the future. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply seeking a memorable meal, The May in Pondicherry is a must-visit destination. Prepare to indulge your senses and embark on a culinary journey like no other....

The first attraction is the well lit interiors. the interiors are well thought of, deigned and maintained truly well. we liked the different seating styles breaking the monotonous seating arrangements. Must commend the service which was swift, effective and informative. courteous staff and the celebratory chef. The food was well prepared and tasted great. The teriyaki chicken is a must try, might feel link bit sweet and salty. The boneless chicken breast served with French fires and broccoli accompanied by tar tar sauce. The presentation of the food was awesome and neat. Highly recommend a visit for it service, interiors, location and chef.

24/04/22 : Edited with second visit. Downgrade the rating from earlier 5 star to 3 star for the degraded service. Had to wait more than 20 mins only to walk to the front desk to place order as waiters didn’t turn up despite requesting. Positive is that they have increased the menu with choices like Chinese and some Indians. But unfortunately the service suffers to live upto the beautiful interiors. The food arrived on time and taste was good which is a definite positive. The billing too delayed. If the staffing and grooming could be given a thought it...

Excellent restaurant serving an eclectic selection of foods including Pondicherian creole! Dropped by for lunch on a Pondi visit. Ordered the Cream of Mushroom soup with a main course of the Paneer Vindai, a Pondicherry creole dish, adapted for vegetarian taste buds. The cream of mushroom soup is probably the best I’ve ever had. Just taste it and see for yourself. As for the Vindai, it left something to be desired. It tasted more like a regular onion based curry with the usual Garam spices used mildly. Still pretty delicious on its own right! Service is excellent and the staff is very well trained in manners. Something I deeply appreciate in Indian restaurants! The ambience is very elegant and mellow. Get a street facing table and enjoy the thoroughfare as you dig into the food. Might return if they come up with a more compelling menu!
