ZUKA — Restaurant in Puducherry

Hey so this is my puducherry 2nd , 1st day is all about traveling and friend birthday so partying in the villa but coming here we had to try their best which is french cuisine and the best place for that is a bakery . Oui . So me and my friends we came here and got super excited about everything , starting from their lovely hot chocolate with chocolate spoon and chocolate melting cup , their cheesecake, chocolate croissant, brownie, and my personal favourite chocolate pakora( ps not for nut allergy guy and for vegan and for lactose intolerance guys) but seriously it was yummy my favourite was dark chocolate but I am more of a milk chocolate guy dont like bitter things in life. When life hits hard , then after we tried everything, we were happy and everyone went home . Just kidding it's the start of the day maybe you be interested where we had dinner . So bye

Just kidding after eating so delicious food how can we just leave it so we went again their before leaving so we went to their and bought some for the family , so in total we spend around Rs 20,000 for gifts and all (ps they have a cute chocolate gift concept like sorry, thank you and happy birthday) you would love it. Then as we were planning to leave they thought that we are very good customer and hell why not we spend 20k. So they give chocolate pakora as a gift free of cost around 10-12 pieces for my friends and me so it was nice but we fight like crazy cause it's free añd we liked it And last line it is true the butterfly is chocolate...

Overpriced. Decent chocolate based cakes and drinks. The staff here are disinterested in service...Reluctance to explain the products and unhappy at being asked to do so. One does not feel welcome on the contrary one is made to feel that they are intruding on entering the premises. Not offered to sit down. Staff were busy watching video clips on their phone...Loud enough to distract the customer from the background piped music. The place had an odd smell . In my experience it's down to dirty cleaning cloth or equivalent. The staff need sprucing up...A haircut...A shave...Clean fitting clothes and clean finger nails. I had a an orange and walnut cake and dark chocolate pakoras . Both were good. I had to ask for drinks and a menu...I chose a Cortado and some water. The staff asked me 3 times to repeat my order for water and then rather reluctantly left a glass of water on the counter without saying a word. 10 minutes later a man walked in from outside ....YES outside carrying my Cortado...He explained that he was from a sister shop 20 metres away. So that was my Cortado ...Fresh from the dusty traffic fumed streets of Pondicherry. But the coffee was lukewarm. Did I complain ? No. I think this place needs the owners taking an active interest. I will not be coming here again . Ever. It was a very unpleasant experience. It's worse when it's the customer saying please ...Excuse me...And thank you...And the staff just stare. If that's the experience you want to pay for then do give...

I visited pondicherry 3 times and this place is a must in my list during every visit. This is the best place for varieties of yummy chocolates, muffins, cakes. My all-time favourite is their chocolate pakoras a must try item when you visit this place. They have different varieties of chocolate pakoras like dark chocolate, milk and white chocolate. I got home a box with all the three varieties. When you enter this place you can see lots of butterflies sticked on the roof later got to know by the staff that it all made up of chocolates and every year during Christmas they prepare chocolate statutes( like Gandhiji, cycle...) and these butterflies for decor. Don't miss their special drooling drink - hot chocolate which comes with chocolate spoon, 2 chocolate blocks and a cup of hot chocolate. Mixing choco blocks with choco spoon in hot choco drink and seeing melted spoon is such a fun. You get chocolate mix sachets to buy to enjoy at your home. Just mix it with hot water.Their Brownies are delectable.
