I couldn't help but congratulate the head chef at this place while leaving because he and his team have done a fabulous job in setting up this cafe. After dining at this amazing place, it was a huge standard drop for all other mainstream fast food franchises on my list. The staff members are very friendly and patient. 1. They have a very nice ambience with comfy seating arrangement and they play calming, classy, non-mainstream English songs. (Though it is not a cafe that entertains dancing, you will feel like dancing in the aisle and I guess they won't mind if you dance for a minute or two. Just make sure you aren't disrupting anyone else's good time.) 2. The best virgin colada and tropical fruit punch I have ever had. (They do have a bar and make cocktails as well, we couldn't order any tho) 3. Pizza Diavolo and Pizza Bianca get all the points. They were thin crusted and perfect, topped with fresh vegetables (could appreciate the freshness with each bite of it), loaded with the right amount of cheese. It was the healthiest pizza I have had till date. 4. This one is dedicated to their Primavera Al Pasta. Neatly textured sauce, balanced creaminess, fusili and the veggies were cooked perfectly. Order in some extra garlic bread to clean the cream off the dish. 5. Pomodoro E Bas (tomato soup) was soothing and delicious. 6. The TLC sandwich was rightly loaded with vegetables and was very filling and it was served with crunchy fries and mayo dip. I shall leave you with pictures of some of these items just to make sure you do not miss visiting this place at any cost when in Pondy. Chefs and the staff members here, take a bow♥️

It is my favorite place to get a fancy meal in Pondicherry. The place has two floors, the ground floor is cozy and cool with red oxide and wood. The walls are those white with rough texture. The top floor has a nice view and is great at night, but can be quite hot. The pizzas and alcohol are not very expensive but their starers and cocktails are as expensive as main course, so I would suggest to skip the starters or sides and get the main course straight. Even the milk shakes and drinks are a little more expensive than normal. The best thing about this place is the music. According to the owner there are only 3 things he cares about: good music, hygiene and quality of ingredients. This is quite true; the restrooms are quite clean and overall, the place is well kept. The reason I keep going there is the music. You will never hear techno or some generic Hindi song instead you will hear CCR and some queen. You will also hear some Italian and some Spanish songs. But overall if music is important to you this place will not disappoint. This isn’t that place where you can sit and work. I tried to work with my laptop and a meal but I felt that I was being pressured to leave as soon as possible. All the food here is good, from the garlic bread to the sandwiches. Even the fresh baked pizza and hot burgers.

Located near the Heritage Town-White Town canal border, the pasta bar vento is a decent option for Italian food lovers. We tried the following: 1) MOZARELLA RICOTTA FINGERS: This was a bit disappointing as it was dry and did not have any jalapeños even though the description of the dish said so. The presentation was also not inviting. 2) BOLOGNESE DI POLLO: Better chicken spaghetti Bolognese, this was definitely one of the better dishes but this one was also not true to its description. It did not have any potato mash and the veggies were also close to none. Nevertheless, the Bolognese was scrumptious and the amalgamation of the spaghetti with it was impeccable. 3) HOMEMADE TAGLIATELLE WITH CHICKEN IN VODKA SAUCE: This was recommended by our attendant and was definitely the best one amongst the dishes that we tried. Freshly made tagliatelle with creamy sauce made it super smooth to gulp it down. The almond milk and the shot of vodka just elevated the dish to the next level. Highly recommended from my side as well. The ambience of the restaurant doesn’t match the aesthetics of the cafés and restaurants in White Town. The seats were a bit cramped up and the lighting was a bit too dull considering the spacing between tables. The serving staff was excellent. The hospitality of the entire team is worth appreciating and the time to serve was also very less.

The Pasta Bar Veneto, MG Road, Puducherry My reviews will be based on my order: - Roasted Pumpkin and Peanut Soup ***** - Spanakopita alla Casa Veneto ***** - Lasagne Di Verdure ***** - Margherita Pizza ***** - Italian Mud Pie *** Pros: - The food is simply fantastic…period (Mr. Satya, Head Chef is an artist. His understanding of Italian/French cuisine is awesome. A true genius at work) - Portions are good - Ambience is cozy - Location is easily approachable - Courteous staff Cons: - Car Parking is limited Conclusion: A must visit place for Continental food lovers. It simply doesn’t get better than this. My family would travel (1200kms) Pondicherry again just for the food at The Pasta Bar Veneto. Special thanks on behalf of my family to the Owner, the Manager and the staff.

If you're in the mood for delectable Italian fare, Pasta Bar Veneto is a must-visit cafe. Their Pizza Diavolo, Pizza Barbeque, and Pizza Padrone are absolute standouts, with a crust that deserves special praise for its perfect texture and flavor. The Panna E Pollo dish was simply amazing, and for dessert, the Italian Mud Pie is a definite winner. Don't miss out on their refreshing Cold Coffee Frappe either—it's a delightful beverage choice. What's more, their service is top-notch; they graciously accommodated us even past 10 PM, when much of the Whitetown is winding down for the night. Overall, Pasta Bar Veneto is an experience not to be missed for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine and exceptional hospitality.

Let's begin with the pros - 1. Great location 2. Nice vibe (as in the music was cool) 3. Some cute decor 4. Has options for different types of pasta (including Tagliatelle, which is rare). Now my experience along with the cons - I had an Al Pesto Genovese. The Pesto wasn't made with Pine Nuts. The Basil also seemed inadequate and it wasn't creamy enough. If "Pasta" is in the title, even if the establishment has 6-7 options, one would expect them to have mastered every single one of them. But that wasn't the case. It was average. The Tagliatelle strands were between raw and Al dente. I had a bowl of Pasta and a diet coke but the bill came out to be 732 rupees.. for a good attempt but not satisfactory good.
