If you don’t have the order ready pls inform the customers before paying, and just don’t mess up orders, i asked for thatta idli you gave plain idli ,and 5 min before u gave thatta idli to other customer in front of me,did you forget the order ,or just didn’t care and focused on the female customers, I feel insulted, pathetic restaurant ,pathetic staff wont visit again.!
Let me explain the scenario, this person on the counter took my order,. I ordered thatta idli,he asked me twice which idli do you want plain or ghee,i said ghee,he repeated one thatta idli coming right up Then he served the next customer thatta idli, after that i waited 10 more min before the workboy came with plain idli ,then i said ,i didnt order ,mine order is thatta idli, then he left, and maybe the owner thought why waste another bowl ,let me serve this perfectly fine idlis to this guy and he came and gave me and was hoping i wouldnt notice , i said where is my order this is not what i ordered,he said, thatta idli is only big in size, take this instead. Read moreI’m a big fan of South Indian food and have explored it across all the southern states. So I was pretty excited to try Gatti Anna.
What I liked: • The location is great and easy to get to. • The interior design is nicely done — clean, simple, and welcoming. • They’ve got a proper seating area, not cramped like some new places. • Their branding and promotion look professional — definitely makes you want to walk in.
What didn’t work for me: • It’s not pocket-friendly. For example, their coffee is ₹45 — compare that to popular joints in the South that serve way better filter coffee for ₹15. That difference really stood out. • The staff didn’t seem very experienced or familiar with how South Indian food is usually served. Service is not quick.
• As much as the owner claims they’re delivering an authentic South Indian experience, I honestly feel there’s still a long way to go. The flavors just didn’t hit the mark for me.
Overall:
I genuinely want this place to do well. It has potential, and I’d love to come back and see how they’ve improved. Hoping they fine-tune the taste and bring in a bit more of that true South...
Read moreI recently visited Gatti Anna Shop and tried their garlic podi dosa, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. At first, the sambar was a bit too sweet for my taste, but when I mentioned it to them, they ensured that the next serving was just perfect. That level of attentiveness shows how much they value their customers' feedback.
The chutneys, both coconut and tomato, were absolutely amazing fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the dosa. The shop owner and staff deserve a special mention for their friendliness and approachability. They genuinely listen to what customers want and actively seek honest reviews to improve their dishes.
If I had to point out one tiny thing, it’s that the dosa size felt a little smaller for me personally. Someone with a larger appetite might find it difficult to get their tummy full. It’s not a major flaw, just something that could be considered for improvement in the future.
Overall, everything about this place was fantastic—the food, the service, and the warm atmosphere. Gatti Anna Shop offers a wholesome dining experience that’s worth coming back for. Highly...
