Ambur Star Briyani — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had at any Star Biryani outlet. I’ve visited multiple branches over the years, but this Star Biryani outlet was a complete disaster.

We ordered egg biryani for friends who are strict eggetarians and do not eat chicken. Shockingly, what they were served was chicken biryani with just an egg thrown on top with chicken pieces still in it. When we called out this blatant mistake, the staff arrogantly insisted that this is how they serve egg biryani . No apology, no accountability—just pure ignorance and rudeness.

We had to escalate the issue to the manager just to get a basic correction made. The staff were completely uncooperative, dismissive, and unwilling to admit fault. For a place that carries the "Star Biryani" name, this outlet is a disgrace.

The worst service staffs I've ever encountered in my life.

This happened on 14th Nov at 2pm, there was no coordination between waiters & service staffs, kept getting wrong orders served at table and after 1 hour we got first item out of 5 ordered. Biryani took 1 hour Raitha & Gravy took 1 hour 5 minutes No sign of other 4 items ordered Water bottle never came

Finally after waiting for 1 hour 30 minutes, we had to walk upto to cash counter ask for the payable amount for payment as bill was not given. Even after complaining there no action taken.

Around 4 to 5 tables around us also were going through this ordeal with hungry kids and senior citizens.

This branch workforce needs to buckle up else they will ruin the name of STAR BIRYANI chain of hotels.

Rating of 1 star is for Chef only for delicious biryani. Cheers Chef but service leaves bad impression on...

Tasty food - proper price.

Review on 2020: Naatukozhi (Country chicken) soup was awesome. Spicy and tasty. Among all the food items, Chicken Monica touched our heart. The rest were okay.

Dessert - lemon soda tasted good. Even though we didn't feel much of soda in it, it was better than other restaurants we tried.

One downside was, they took very loong time to prepare and serve food. We went there during non peak hours. Around 3.30 PM. At that time, even their signature dish biriyani was served after 30 mins.
