Selvam Mess — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

We went there only because Sree Annapoorna hotel was crowded and we couldn't find a parking lot nearby. We initially thought that it'd be nice to try some non vegetarian food and wanted to try normal chicken biriyani but the guy who took our order gave us nattu kozhi biriyani which we asked to get changed but he refused. He was very unprofessional and not at all interested in nothing but doing what he wanted to do! We asked for filling the pickle and salad but he was behaving like he was not interested at all. Then we asked again and he delivered just salad and served and took it away even when other guy was waiting. We got a bill with was overpriced. We didnt enjoy the food or the service and later went to the washroom which literally shattered the image of the restaurant. It was not even cleaned and maintained. One can easily say that it was not cleaned in many days and the women who accompanied me were not able to use their washrooms as they were uncomfortable. An average restaurant , but food provided can be tasty . . Most of the dishes are good not excellent though . . Although I wouldn't recommend having the tandooris because it's dry and not very tasty . . Plates are not given instead banana leaf if given guess all food items are had in that way . Often times i have the chicken fried rice from here , the quantity given is immense , so two people with an average stomach can be satisfied with it . Ive heard that the biriyani items are good (chettinadu style ) but never tried it personally . The seats and tables are fine ,service is fine too most waiters are fine too . . I would recommend this restuarant for medium budget meals although some menu items are a bit pricy . Overall fine...

Cheapest unethical owner. A cheat. We do understand that it's not right to share unlimited meals. Since Meals is limited here, we shared whatever was provided, among us. We didn't even ask for extra rice or curries. He saw us sharing the given rice, and charged us one extra meal. When we demanded that, we are sharing within whatever was given to us, he behaved very cheaply. They provide the curries in mugs, so that, they can easily top up and give it to the next person. His words were so rude and degrading. After all, he doesn't know to be kind to his customers and unfit to be in hospitality. He will shut his business soon if he shows the same attitude to all.
