Haribhavanam Sitra — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Original Review: Food: Ordered mutton Biriyani on Wednesday at 12PM. The quantity is good. But its just a kuska with separate mutton pieces which doesn’t have any flavour and the meat was very hard. Who would pay 360₹ for a mutton biriyani like this? We are coming to your restaurant on trust hoping that you would serve a decent food. I am ok with the pricing but you should justify it by giving a descent biriyani.

Service: including me, there were only 3 to 4 tables with customers. But all the servers were there simply standing at some corners. When i sat on the table, it took like 5mins for them to give me menu card. And after food, I ordered just a lemon juice. They literally took 10 mins to bring that juice. I think that was only the order to kitchen from the entire restaurant. I could see that clearly by that time

Ambience: with very few customers there and the restaurant is yet to get the customers after that time, there were misquotes and even many flies were there in my table.

I knew that Haribhavan is not like how it used to be years before. But still i didn’t listen to my mind and had lunch today and got served what I deserved for taking...

“Once Exceptional, Now Overpriced and Disappointing” Complete waste of money!!

I have been dining at Hari Bhavanam for over 15 years, but my recent visit to the SITRA branch was very disappointing. The quality of food has declined significantly, and the prices have become unreasonably high for what is being offered.

The Non-Veg Meals, which were once a highlight, were underwhelming. Both the Mutton Kolambu and Chicken Kolambu lacked the authentic, flavorful taste they were once known for. They felt bland and poorly prepared, completely missing the charm of the old Hari Bhavanam style.

The Mutton Kothu Curry was another disappointment—it had none of the richness or quality expected from such a premium-priced dish. For the high prices charged, I expected far better taste and preparation.

Spending ₹1442 for two people for this level of quality is unacceptable. Hari Bhavanam has always been known for its value for money and consistent taste, but sadly, they seem to have lost both. I sincerely hope the management takes note and works towards improving both the food quality and ensuring the pricing matches the value delivered. Otherwise, long-time patrons like me...

I am a tourist visiting Coimbatore and had dinner at your Haribhavanam Sitra branch yesterday, which I found satisfactory. However, today when I visited again for dinner, I ordered a soup. While drinking it slowly, I was shocked to find a fly inside the soup.

This is extremely concerning and raises serious doubts about the hygiene and food quality standards maintained at your restaurant. I had already consumed half of the soup before noticing the fly, which puts me at high risk of food poisoning or other health issues.

As a customer, I expect proper hygiene and safe food practices from a reputed restaurant like yours. Such negligence not only damages your reputation but also endangers the health of customers.

I request you to take strict action against this incident and ensure that such lapses do not occur again in the future. I also expect a response regarding what steps will be taken to address this matter.
