I have to say, in terms of ambience and dĂŠcor, this is one of the best bars in Coimbatore. Most people take the rooftop level, which is a shame. I went there on a Friday evening and paid INR 2000 for the stag entry, and it was pretty crowded, especially around the tiny bar area. If you want a classic, high class bar-like atmosphere, go to the basement level. The seating, lighting and interiors would just blow your mind. The music was well-known English and Hindi pop. The service could be better. It was slow at times and most of the staff can't converse very well in English, which is pretty surprising from a brand like LOTD. Thanks to Ashwin and Arun for the wonderful experience downstairs. I had their signature cocktails. The Tiramisu was really good, the cocoa rum and coffee mixed really well with the Mascarpone foam. Whoever came up with the Popcorntini is an absolute genius, the saline solution and the caramel popcorn are the real MVPs. The Dose Of Love tasted good and smelled better, thanks to the small sprig of flower. The Spiced Paloma just brings you back to life with a slap to the face. The Take Me To Cloud justified its name, especially with the edible flower. The Jack Daniels Whisky Glazed Grilled Chicken was absolutely lip-smacking, thankfully sliced up. I finished up with a Classic Tres Leches, which was pretty good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone...
Read moreWalking into Lord of the Drinks felt like entering Middle-earth, if Middle-earth had neon lights, pounding bass, and bartenders who could mix a cocktail faster than Gandalf could say, âYou shall not pass (without showing ID)!â
The drinks? Oh, they werenât just drinksâthey were potions of power. I ordered something called âDragonâs Breath,â which, upon first sip, made me briefly question my life choices. It was spicy, smoky, and possibly brewed in Mordor. My friend got a âWizardâs Mule,â and after two sips, he started speaking in riddles. We may have unlocked another dimension.
The food? Legendary. The nachos were stacked like Helmâs Deep, the wings had the fire of Mount Doom, and the fries⌠letâs just say, if Gollum ever got a hold of them, heâd call them precious.
The DJ had the crowd jumping like hobbits at a feast, and by the time the bass dropped, I was convinced I could see the Eye of Sauron blinking at me from the disco lights. One guy was dancing like he was trying to cast a spell, another was reenacting the Battle of Pelennor Fields with a barstool, and somewhere in the chaos, Iâm pretty sure I saw an elf.
By the end of the night, my wallet was lighter, my head was spinning, and I may or may not have pledged allegiance to a secret drinking guild. Lord of the Drinks isnât just a bar. Itâs an epic quest. Five stars. Would definitely return for another...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at LOD with my parents, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a family meal and service from DEEPA was most enjoyable.
The menu featured a fantastic selection of dishes, each expertly crafted. We started with the charcuterie board, which was a generous assortment of cured meats and artisanal cheeses that paired beautifully with their house-made pickles. For the main course, I opted for the grilled salmon, which was perfectly cooked and accompanied by seasonal vegetables. My parents enjoyed the heartly panned lababdar, which was tender and full of flavor.
The drink menu was equally impressive. We tried a couple of their signature cocktails, both refreshing and expertly mixed. The wine list offered a great variety, and our server was knowledgeable in making recommendations.
Dessert was the highlight; the chocolate lava cake was rich and indulgent, a perfect ending to our meal. The service throughout the evening was attentive without being intrusive, making us feel well taken care of.
Overall, LOD exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, excellent drinks, and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it for a memorable dining experience with...
