Subway Avinashi Road — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Subway is India is treated special fare. Not just a sandwich to buy somewhere cheaply. Like for me in Canada or the USA. All good so far. My Subway experience here in Coimbatore was mixed.

Subway has special country variations in India. There are two counters and lines separated for veg and non-veg. Veg specialties include paneer tikka and curry tofu toppings which I tried. They also had potato fries on the menu. Which were basically wedges. They were okay.

There was nothing special with the sandwiches here. Again my bias from years of buying them and expectations from it. The bread was a little stale and not fluffy or fresh enough. It might be the fact that we visited around 11 pm closing time.

One thing I also noticed is that the width of the bread was smaller or narrower than in the America’s. So it didn’t feel filling enough for me and the experience felt meagre.

Nothing special here. But ok for a quick bite. No exotic...

Ordered paneer tikka for take out. Not sure how I wronged the person who prepped my sandwich in my previous life, there were hardly 3-4 chunks of paneer in my whole sandwich 🤣 I had to go thru almost half the sandwich to get to the first piece of paneer. Also, they were skimpy on the veggies. Usually, I would be full after a 1/2 foot sandwich, but I was still hungry after this one. Taste wise, not sure if I would recommend the paneer tikka - the masala felt a little raw. Otherwise friendly staff and good ambience. The place was a little crowded when I was there around 10 pm. Paid cash but did not get a receipt.

Tried a few other sandwiches on different occasions and all had very less amount the main...

A good place..offers great varities and lets us order ahead...The thing about subway is that we can make our own kinds of sub sandwiches and salads in there...We can add any kinds of combination of meats,breads,veggies,sauces,cheese and topping seasonings...I tried a Chicken Tandoori sub but didnt like its Orange coloured filling that much..But then i ordered a chicken teriyaki sub and chicken salad...They were tasty as hell!I added tons of veggies and sauces into it along with double meat and double cheese and the extra charge for those items were not that big of a deal...Really loved it and i would recommend this place for any salad/sandwich/sub lovers and this place really do offer...
