Had visited the restaurant fir Dinner with family and kids.
Food : 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Staff: 5/5
Food: The place is must try for pure vegetarian foodies. We had DOSA (Ghee Roast, Panneer Stuffed DOSA). The Ghee roast was perfect. The Panneer Stuffed DOSA was above the mark. It was not too spicy and not too dull. It was perfect.
Ambiance: The place is designed according to old traditional method. The seats, the paint and the lighting will remind you of your grandparents home.
The highlight and unique of the ambiance is the AUTO design which they have come up with. It is surely a different experience to sit in the auto seating (they have converted the real AUTO into SEATS)and have the food. The children will surely love the AUTO and elders too.
Staff: The staff are really good and make you feel like a monarch. They are so courteous and humble.
Suggestion: The kids chair could have side and front handles to hold them up without any support.
Price: The price is little higher and the management could consider in reducing it a little bit.
Thank you Southern Street for a wonderful experience !!! Will try to...
Read moreThe restaurant is part of Kaidi Kitchen with a completely different south Indian theme. Since this was a veg place, it definitely aligned with our dietary requirements. The ambiance and decor were wonderful with paintings associated with South India and its cuisine. We sat in an auto rickshaw that has been refurbished with a table and with better seating. We had a podi idli tikka and batate bubble dosa for starters which were both visual treats. They also tasted great with the condiments of onion chutney, coconut chutney and pearl onion (baby onion) sambhar. For main course we had the patani pulav sadham which is just peas pulao and neikathrikkai kuzhambu (eggplant curry). Both were delectable items and complemented each other well. It was a great experience and I would visit again to try the other...
Read moreI was visiting this place for the very first time. I’m a big fan of South Indian food, so I wanted to try some authentic dishes other than the typical dosa, idli sambhar. Plus it being a pure veg restaurant, I had to go. So we ordered rava jini spring roll with sambar, a certain kind of sambhar rice which was very nice, then paneer subzi and kabuli channa masala with parotta. The service, presentation and decor was really nice, and everything tasted good. I tried bubble dosa and bun parotta for the first time. We had drinks, starters as well as main course, and nothing disappointed us. The seating area was quite interesting. The interior decor, and lighting gives a good feel to the...
